Q: 1. How many AH per battery?

A: It says 7Ah right on the battery (see photo above).

Q: 2. Volts? Amps? Amphours?

A: This is a proprietary APC battery for specific APC products only, and they do not provide specifications for the volts, amps, or amp hours. The only additional provided about the battery is that it is a maintenance-free sealed lead-acid battery with suspended electrolyte.

Q: 3. are there instructions for switching the cartridge?

A: If I recall, there are instructions provided but it's simple. Leave the unit powered on, unplug the power connector from the battery pack, remove the screws holding it in, swap the battery pack, replace the screws, plug the connector back in. Check the display to clear any errors and/or verify no errors.

Q: 4. It is interesting that the SPECS do NOT list the voltage nor the Amp Hour rate of this battery. Perhaps by knowing that it is model RBC2 one should KNOW this info but I expect to find such basic details as volts and AMPS of a battery in the SPECS.So, what are those two numbers for this battery??

Q: 5. Is this the correct replacement battery for an APC backup system, CS 350?

A: We purchased it for the CS 500 and it worked perfectly. Not sure about other models.

Q: 6. is this compatible with the BE550G?

A: I was able to make it work but the size is a little different.

A: Yes. This is the correct replacement battery.

Works like new! The whole process to purchase was so easy and the product works fantastic. I take the old battery to Best Buy to re-cycle. The only suggestion I would make to improve the whole process would be to have a system set up to allow returns of used batteries directly to APC. This would probably get a lot more people to think green and recycle. 5

I needed to replace the batteries in several 10 year old Back Ups units. The service life and cost for 10 years is very good. The shipping and return effort was made very easy by the company, so I highly recommend odering on line for replacement batteries as opposed to a new unit. I think it is excellent of the company to continue support and supplies for the older product. My older units are back in service and running fine. 5
