Like the 18mm f1.4, this new glass technology is fantastic. The lens is so sharp, I looked at my pictures at 200X and none of them need a specific sharpening. Colors are beautiful and don't need to change saturation. I love this lens and looking forward to many more pictures. I recommend it!

This lens really is everything it's cracked up to be. Fast autofocus, killer sunbursts, tack sharp and as is typical of Fuji lenses, a little pricey, but wow-this one is worth it.

This is a gorgeous lens! I'm normally a zoom guy because they are so versatile, but this normal perspective fits nicely in my bag right between the XF10-24 and the XF55-200. It's great in low light with the f/1.4, and its WR is my only weather proof option in the rain. Not only is the depth of field outstanding, it is the only one of Fuji's XF lenses that had never needed a firmware update to fix issues...it's perfect out of the box.

The most important thing I look for in a lens is: How close is its output to what I originally saw in the field. That's a lot to ask from a cylinder packed with shaped and polished glass. Since I am a photographer, I test my lenses by shooting people, various kinds of landscapes and various kinds of structures. During the processing phase, I can evaluate how close a lens comes to the ideal stated above. The Fujifilm 33 mm lens comes extremely close to this ideal. Its sharpness at f/1.4 is spectacular. The clarity of the image and the rendering of fine detail in the image is excellent. The color rendition looks natural and the chromatic aberration is almost non-existent so I don't have to spend any significant time removing color casts from my images. I use Capture One software to do all my exposure adjustments and then move the image over to Photoshop's Camera Raw for the finishing touches. I use Capture One because it's exposure adjustments tell me everything I need to know about the lens I used for the photograph and additionally how truly amazing Fujifilm's X-Trans Sensor is. The lens is only one piece of the equation because the sensor and its processor must be excellent, too. The good news is Fujifilm makes excellent lenses for its cameras and those of us who shoot Fujifilm cameras know the sensor and processor are first rate. The 33 mm lens will definitely show you just how good the Fujifilm sensor and processor are. The image quality is there to behold when the image is finally processed and with this 33mm lens, if you get your exposure right in the field, there is not a lot you will have to do when processing the image. If any of you out there who are reading this decide to buy this lens, you will not be disappointed.

I recently down-sized my lens collection (sold my 56/1.2, 35/1.4, and 16/1.4) and picked up this 33mm. This lens gives me unique and beautiful photos like the 56mm but with a more practical focal length for everyday family snapshots. All the reviews are true, it's compact, quiet, fast, sharp, and has beautiful out of focus rendering. I don't see this coming off my camera very often unless I really need the focal length of the 50-140. Don't think I could be any more happy with this lens.

Now, waiting for the companion Fuji all-metal lens hood which is still unavailable. Great build quality. Beautiful image quality and bokeh. Autofocus is fast and quiet. Classic focal length.

I've had quite a number of Fuji lenses.... This is my new favorite walk-around-town lens. Sharp, fast, bright. Retains a lot of the OG character from older premium lenses unlike some of the newer compact WR variants.
