The Recorder Slide from Wooden Camera is a dual mount accessory plate designed to attach a power plate to one side and an on-board recorder to the other. The plate features multiple mounting patterns for the Ki Pro, Hyperdeck, Codex, Odyssey 7Q, PIX 240, V-Mount & Gold Mount batteries, wireless audio receivers, and 1/4"-20 accessories (via both threaded and pass through holes).

An L-bracket is included with the slide to enable mounting of recorders like the Atomos Shogun, Pix-E5, and Pix-E7. Additionally, integrated dual rosette mounts and the plate's namesake sliding capability allow for positioning in nearly any direction.

The base of the Recorder Slide features a slotted design that allows for the attachment of two 1/4"-20 screw threads up to 36mm apart, center to center. This feature allows for the attachment of rod clamps, if the user requires them.

Q: 6. What are the sizes of the two screws that secure the slide to the camera?

A: The screws that would be used to secure the Wooden Camera Battery Slide Pro for Sony FX6 (V-Mount) (B&H# WO283000) to the FX6 body appear to be M4 (i.e. 4mm metric) ones. The easiest way to tell that is to see if a standard 1/4" screw (used for mounting just about every type of non enormous camera to a tripod or quick release plate) is about the right size but doesn't thread properly after a couple of turns into the thread. (That should only be done very gently.) If so, that tap is indeed an M4 female thread. If the 1/4" screw is too large to fit in the tap at all then it's an M3 screw.

Q: 7. Does the battery indicator in viewfinder work with this V-mount adapter?

A: no it will not work with the battery indicator because it is being powered through the AC port. It will give you the low voltage warning

A: The Wooden Camera Battery Slide Pro for Sony FX6 (V-Mount) acts as an AC adapter when in use and you cannot use BP-U batteries to hot-swap. For hot-swapping VMount batteries a sharkfin adapter is your best option.

There are a lot of options for Komodo battery extensions. I thought about the tilta advanced power module but kept coming back to this one for many reasons. Build quality is excellent, and I feel good knowing there's a built in fuse protector for all of my powered accessories. Overall a very good battery attachment for my Komodo. PS: buy the arm extension so you can have a canon bp battery attached simultaneously, that's where its at. 5

Clips well in place. The three added D-Tap ports are a great addition when using lots of accessories. Nothing bad to say about it so far. Well made and batteries fit very well in place. Center of mass in perfectly centered with the camera even though it only clips on the left side of the battery mount. 5

Installs effortlessly, fits perfectly. The fact that the slide swings up makes it a perfect addition to my FX-9. The Sony battery stays loaded inside and can be accessed by simply loosening the slide and swinging it up. Other competing units are screwed on and cover the battery compartment so changing the battery is more of an effort. 5

Solid and Useful Battery Plate from Wooden Camera but note that the web listing currently has a 3-Pin LEMO Output when in fact it has a 2-Pin LEMO Output. 5

After searching for a dual mouneed battery plate it came down between the arri recorder battery plate set or this. Why I didn't go with the arri over this (though it would have matched my rig) was the price point compared to the articulation. The arri is built like a tank but the articulation leaves so much to be desired. It's almost like paying for a pivoting plate than one that can adjust freely to your evolving rig. That was why I went with this. It's quality is near top notch to arri, costs about 300 less than the arri to have a rod mounted system and I legitimately can mount it in any reasonable direction to offset weight on a shoulder set up. This is my second WC product and for what it is, worth every penny. 5

I have this paired with the Komodo and the Red Expander Module. Allows me to get timecode and control port while maintaining battery hot swap. I recommend you get it with the BP-955 extender; it's an unfortunate add-on purchase of $50 but makes it worth it and maintains a compact form factor with the camera, BP-955 battery, and the v-mount slide. Best feature is the internal fuse for all three d-tap ports from protecting your camera/accessories better than any other option out there. 5
