Q: 1. Does this film work with dark and bright lighting?

A: This film and any other film can be exposed to bright or dim lighting. You have to know how to expose it correctly under low light conditions and know how to compensate for reciprocity failure. But, yes it can be done.

A: Yes, the WhiBal G7 is an 18% neutral gray card.

Q: 3. Can this film be processed in a red lit dark room?

A: Yes, the Ilford HP5 Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) can be developed in a darkroom lit by safelights.

Q: 5. Hi, may i know the expiry date on this hp5 bulk should i get it now?

Q: 6. My canon xti 400D says to use a sheet of white paper. Will this enhance my white balance even more or throw it off since it's gray?

A: The grey card is superior to using a sheet of white paper since there are so many types of paper. The grey card is calibrated. The one which was illustrated is the one I use and Ithink it is a good one. I have come across at least one which was off. SL

Q: 7. 1) What is the expiration date?2) How to ship to Beijing China? EMS or FedEx or other? 3) In the ship of transportation through X light?Thank you

A: 1/ The expiration date is the date stamped by the manufacturer on the film box and it is the date until the manufacturer guarantees best performance under standard exposure and development. Film can be used few years after the expiration date without serious quality loss if the film is stored at low temperature (freezer). If not stored at low temperatures the film starts losing quality due to oxidation (slow process of fogging). Fogging becomes visible few years after the expiration date.2. How to ship to China? - sorry I'm not qualified to answer this question3. Do not let film go through X-ray - that will destroy unprocessed film that (undeveloped). Use special X-ray protective material to keep film safe when it passes through X-ray machines.

Q: 8. how many roll in the box?

A: This is a special type of film called a Bulk Roll which is 100 (feet) long. Bulk Rolled film is used in conjunction with a special loading machine and reusable film canisters. This was very commonly used in the past by newspaper agencies, magazines and colleges where film is used in greater mass. A 100 roll could commonly yield 15-18 rolls of film depending on how many frames were loaded by the user into the reusable canisters. Unfortunately we no longer carry/sell the bulk loading machines that are required for use with this type of film. You would have to find that type of machine used someplace.

Q: 9. Would this film be suitable for shooting in an aquarium?

A: This is an excellent general purpose black & white film. While the glass and the light color and brightness are factors, we feel this would be an appropriate film for the purpose you wish to use it for.

Q: 10. Does this fit in the credit card slot of a wallet?

A: Yes, it is made to the size of a credit card, so if a credit card fits then this will fit as well.
