Plug & Mix Retro Limiter is a great-sounding limiter plug-in that can be used to control the dynamics of any track or mix. Three selector buttons allow you to choose between limiting and either of two compression modes.

The large Limit Level knob controls the amount of gain reduction, while the Recovery knob determines the amount of time it takes for the limiter to recover. Trim adjusts the signal input level and the Make Up knob controls your overall output level.

Q: 1. Comparing this to the Godox AD400Pro, the Godox has a power output range from 1/256 to 1/1. I see a YouTube video comparing the 2 of these but how the Wescott only goes as low as 1/64 but later fixed with s as firmware update. So what is the new power output range of the Wescott? Thank you

A: The power output on the FJ400 after that firmware change can go to as low as 1.56 watt seconds at its lowest power. 1.56ws is the equivalent of 1/256 power. The entire range of the FJ400 is from 1.56ws-400ws or 1/256-1/1.

Q: 5. Is this strobe compatible with a Canon 7D, and 5D Mark ll? I read on amazon that it was not.

A: At the time of answering this question (11/3/20), the 5D mk 2 is not a compatible camera, and the 7D mk 2 works in most instances. Please note being on the compatibility list means it has been tested and is fully operational in both HSS modes and TTL. It will work on any camera with a hot shoe in manual mode. For the most up-to-date compatibility list, please visit the manufacturers website.

Q: 6. Is there a way to combine the FJ400 with Nikon speedlights that use the CLS ?

A: What you could use is the Westcott FJ-XR Wireless Receiver, BH # WE4701, which has a 1/8" sync connection. That connection will fit the Impact FA-300HS Triple-Flash Hot Shoe Adapter Mount, BH # IMFA300HS which will hold a Nikon speedlight. It is important to note that you will lose all TTL functions in the flash by using this set up. Currently, Westcott doesn't offer a shoe mount type receiver for the FJ system. http://bhpho.to/3bQ9gU5 http://bhpho.to/3qxphCm
