The tan Drop-Front Archival Storage Box from Archival Methods protects and stores digital and photographic prints, matted or not, within its 1.5" deep hinged box. The box is constructed from heavyweight, archival-grade boxboard that has a matte-laminate coating for water resistance. Removing the box top reveals a hinged drop-front panel on the front long side so you can safely insert, remove, or examine contents in the the bottom section of the box.

The metal-reinforced corners of the box top are treated with a black polyester coating and a wax-free polyester finish, to be anti-corrosive. The clamps give rigidness and strength to the box so you can stack multiple boxes on top of each other. The box is PAT passed, which means it is suitable for long-term storage.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do 50mm frame lines show in viewfinder of M3 and M6 with this lens?

A: Yes, the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical Lens will bring up the correct 50mm frame lines in the viewfinder for Leica M series cameras.

Q: 2. will this work with new Leica M6?

A: Yes. The Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 Aspherical Lens is compatible with the Leica M6.

Q: 3. Is there an adapter for the Sony a7r3 for this lens?

A: There are adapters to adapt Leica M-Mount lenses like the Voigtlander Nokton 75mm f/1.5 Aspherical Lens (Black) to the Sony FE-Mount used on the Sony Alpha a7R III. Voigtlander makes the Voigtlander Adapter for Sony E Mount Cameras--VM Mount Lens (Black) linked here. https://bhpho.to/3mescB5. And you can see all the applicable adapters we carry linked here. https://bhpho.to/3mfXZS4

Q: 4. this dost this dose not take a 49mm filter a 52mm works?

A: The lens directly takes a 49 mm filter. You can then mount the lens hood onto the 49mm filter. The Lens Hood does not have filter rings to attach another filter. You can use a 49-52 filter ring adapter directly on the lens if you really want to use a 52mm filter but you won't be able to attach the lens hood

Q: 5. Does this lens come with a lens hood? If not which hood fits? I searched for Nokton 50mm f1.5 lens hood, but came up with nothing...

A: The lens does come with a lens hood. It would be in the box.

Q: 6. Initially, when the c-Sonnars were first issued about 10 or so years ago, I beleive Zeiss calibrated the optimal focus to 2.8. Later they could be ordered optimized at f/1.5. In the past few years I've read optimum focus is set at f/2. What is the optimum focus on this particular production series? Thanks.

A: The ZEISS C Sonnar 1.5/50 ZM is currently optimized for focus at f/2.0.

Q: 7. Can the aperture ring be declicked for smooth iris control?

A: No it cannot.

Q: 8. Does this lens have electronic contacts to pass information to the camera?

A: No, manual focus and aperture only.

Q: 9. I purchased this product about 4 years ago and never opened it. Would it still be good to mix and use today?

A: If one purchased the Photographers' Formulary TF-4 Archival Rapid Fixer for Black & White Film & Paper ,and never opened it up, and stored it in normal temperatures,(not too warm), it should still work fine. Just to make sure it would be good to do a test in the darkroom, by fixing a paper sample for the normal fixing time, and then turn the lights on to see if it will fog.

Q: 10. How does this compare to the Voigtlander 50mm f1.2?

A: The f1.2 version is higher quality because it has 2 aspherical elements (the f1.5 only has 1) plus the f1.2 has one partial dispersion element while the f1.5 has none.
