Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this vignette on a 50mm lens?

A: You would be better off using the short version of this hood, Heliopan 40.5mm Short Metal Lens Hood, BH # HELHMS40.5 to prevent vignetting on a 50mm lens mounted on a full frame sensor camera.

Q: 2. is it compatible with (Manfrotto Manfrotto Background Baby Hooks) ??

A: Yes, the Manfrotto Background Baby Hooks work with Expan Drives and the Impact Varidrives. For safety I highly recommend using a heavy sand bag on each stand leg. When you unroll the paper background it pulls forward at the same time and you need the weight to help prevent it from falling over.

Q: 3. Is this hood threaded on the front? In other words, can it be used as a 40.5mm extension tube? If so, how long is it?

A: This does not have front threads

Q: 4. ok for 40mm lens?

A: Great for more telephoto lenses, but for wider angle lenses like a 40mm lens, you may see some vignetting with a hood like this.

Q: 5. what is the maximum core roll diameter? 3"?

A: Core diameter max is 3".

Q: 6. Is there a way to attach a Peak Design anchor to this plate?

A: No there is no option to attach a strap hook

Q: 7. Re: Heliopan 7354H Lens Hood Is this too short to work effectivly for a 50mm lens?

A: On a full frame sensor, a 50mm with a 40.5mm front diameter would not vignette.

Q: 8. If I want to connect the wall mounting kit to varipoles and clamps what extra hardware do I need to get or is it included?

A: This should work but has not been tested on the Impact Wall Mounting Kit with Metal Chain for Roll Paper, https://bhpho.to/3VAO7ky and two of, https://bhpho.to/3UBq97s .

Q: 9. If used on a Samsung 20-50mm lens, will the original lens cap still fit with the hood in place?

A: Yes, the front of the hood is also 40.5mm and will accept the original lens cap.

Q: 10. How is access to the battery achieved if the grip does not have to be removed first?

A: On other Fujifilm grips the grip is left open/not covered in that area for access to battery and memory card. We don't have this item in stock yet but it should follow suit with the others.
