Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these work with a canon 5D mrk4 and a canon speedlite 600EXiiRT?

A: Yes, using a cord from the PlusX to the Speedlite. It won't do TTL or HSS of course, but it will fire it from one mounted on the camera.

Q: 2. will this work on a Canon t7, the t7 doesn't have a universal hot shoe pin and its been a pain to find a transceiver that has the four pins.

A: Unfortunately, the Plus X transceiver is not compatible with the unique hot shoe on the Canon EOS Rebel T7.

Q: 3. Will the sync cords that go with is this system compatible with a nikon 750?

A: The sync cables that come with the kit are for a flash. It included a miniphone to miniphone cable, miniphone to PC cable, and a miniphone to phono adapter. If you would like to remotely trigger the camera, you will need an N-MCDC2-ACC remote camera cable, which is sold separately. It's available in either 1' or 3' lengths.

Q: 4. Can this product be used to trigger a Quantum Flash (for Nikon) using a Sony Nex camera with multi interface shoe?

A: Yes but only if there is a PocketWizard unit connected to your Quantum flash as well.

Q: 5. I have the Nikon D200 camera with the SB900 speedlight. I'd like to use my speedlight on my beauty dish and would like to purchase the PocketWizard. What exactly do I need to purchase to make it a complete and working set ready to shoot?... Do I just need the Plus X Transceiver or do I need other parts to make it work with my equipment?

A: You would need at least two PocketWizards (one on your camera and one on your flash). To connect the PocketWizard to a flash without a PC connection you would also need a hotshoe to mini adapter (B&H # WIHSFM3). Also to connect your flash to your beauty dish you may need an adapter depending on the beauty dish you have.

Q: 6. Will I need to buy a ACC cable (CM-N3-ACC) for hooking up to a Canon 5D Mark II or is a compatible included?

A: If you're looking to wirelessly trigger your camera from another PocketWizard, you would need the CM-N3-ACC trigger cable (B&H # WICMN3ACC1) to connect the PocketWizard to your 5D II. If you're simply using the Plus X as a transmitter to trigger other PocketWizzards (flashes), you don't need cables; the PocketWizard would just need to be on the hot shoe of your camera.

Q: 7. Can I use this (or two units) as a remote shutter release on my Fuji X100s camera.

A: Fujifilm doesnt offer a common remote triggering interface in its X series: With the X100s, theres no option to externally trigger the shutter at all, so all you can do is using the self-timer or a manually threaded cable release.

Q: 8. Is this works with Sony a7s ii + Godox AD200 Pro?

A: Yes this trigger can work on the A7S II to trigger a Godox AD200 Pro that is set to manual flash.

Q: 9. Does this Pocket Wizard have a socket to attach an AC Adapter?

A: The PlusX does not have a port for an AC adapter. The Plus III and Plus IV both can use an AC adapter.

Q: 10. I have a Nikon D7000, and a Nikon Sb-910 speedlight. What exactly do I need to trigger my flash if it will be mounted on a softbox. Do I need to buy one or two, and do I need some other cables not included on the pocketwizard's box?

A: You would need two Plus X Transceivers: one for the Camera and one for the Flash. The Plus X would come with the cable needed to connect it to the SB-910.
