I would either use this Leveling Base or the MLA23 leveler. If my tripod already had a leveler, I wouldn't need this Leveling base.

A: This can support 6lbs and more. The load limit is more dependent on the head and legs than the actual rail. The DPG 3016R is a solid rail.

However the size of the leveling base would not affect the stability of the tripod or the the head nor it would impact the load capacity and the legs possitions.
