A: The Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner comes with film holders designed for use with 35mm film and medium format film (120 or 220 film). 127 film is smaller than 120 film. Epson does not have a film holder designed for 127 film, but you may be able to use the medium format holder for the 127 film, or you may search for a third-party film holder for 127 film compatible for use with the Epson V600.

A: I use Vue Scan software. My old Epson Stylus Photo 2200 only prints up to 13 x 19 . I have made many prints this size from 35mm negs and slides using this scanner. I use Photoshop or onOne Resize to enlarge these scans. I also massage these images in Photoshop and with Topaz filters. I had a Polariod film scanner which worked well, but the old interface (SCSI) is obsolete. I bought the V600 scanner as a less expensive alternative to a dedicated film scanner and giving me the option to scan reflectives also.

Q: 8. will the software with this remove scratches from B&W negatives?

A: Yes and no. If you rely on Digital Ice, your images will lose detail because the program cannot perfectly differentiate between scratches and detail. You'll get best results with some kind of photo editing software like Photoshop. This is a great scanner for the money, but it can't work miracles.

Q: 9. I am interested in buying the Epson V600 scanner. I was using the Epson 3170 for the last ten years and it has recently stopped working. I want to know does it work with Mac OSX 10.9.1 or should I consider another product. My 3170 worked with my iMac G4 but wasn't compatible with my new Mac mini 2.5ghz. Thanks

A: Yes it works with Mac OSX 10.9.1.

A: Works fine. Had no problem installing on my Win10 machine.

I used this to scan old photos onto my computer and it works fast and great. There is no warm-up time which is awesome. Again, I only used this to scan old photos, so as far as that I would say it works great. 5

The first thing I scanned were our old faded wedding photos. The color had faded almost to non-existent. With the scanner set to automatically correct color, the photos looked like new! Everything else works perfectly too. 5

I bought this scanner primarily for archiving old photos and it works great! The instructions are fairly simple for the most part. There are some steps that are unclear, but after going through them a couple of times, no problem. This is a pretty good machine for the right price. I would recommend it to anyone. 5

I purchased the Perfection V600 for business and personal use. I have thousands of slides, negatives, photos that I want digitized. I don't necessarily need them to be scanned for magazine work, just would like to have them on my computer for my viewing pleasure. I have been using this scanner for 4 weeks (about 60 + hours of scanning time) so far. It works fantastic. The quality is great. The dust reduction feature is invaluable. Photo prints are very nice. Can set for enlargements. It has been almost 8 years since I purchased a scanner of high quality. For the price, this is a great home scanner. I will recommend to my other photographer friends that don't need the expense of drum scanner for most of their work. 5

This product is light years ahead of the one it replaced. It has taken me a while to become familiar with all the features. I use it primarily to scan colour slides which I am in the process of archiving. I am very pleased with the results. 5

I've had my V600 Photo Scanner for about nine months now, and I've digitized well over a thousand slides and negatives. I am not just pleased, I am absolutely delighted with this machine. And the Digital Ice feature does a great job of cleaning up dirt and nicks on the originals. The overall results are at least as good as those for pictures that I previously had digitized commercially, and all things considered, the price is quite reasonable. 5
