Use the portable and lightweight JB50 Jib Arm from Libec to create smooth, dynamic camera moves with high and low angles. This easy-to-use jib supports 22 to 44 lb, has an arm that extends 39.4 to 74.8" in length, and has a weight bar designed for use with a remote head. It features a 100mm tripod mount with a 100mm head bowl and a 75mm adapter.

The counterweight bar includes one 2.2 lb weight and provides ample space for additional, optional counterweights to balance your rig. The JB50 weighs only 36 lb and is easy to set up and break down for transport using its carry case.>

A: From what I know, most cameras have a 1/4 thread. The canon 5d will definitely have that size. Pretty much 99% or so of tripods out there have a thread size of 1/4 so compatibility will never be an issue

A: No. The head and the half ball are one piece that cannot be separated.

I have previously used a tripod over several years with my Nikon D70s, a Bushnell range target spotter scope, and my JVC HD Video Camera. I was needing to replace my older tripod, well worn, with a newer model but one that was a bit more of substantial quality. I researched several manufactures and models of each but was impressed more with this particular make and model due to other reviewers comments. Once I recieved my order I really will agree with other reviews but would like to add that this model is very stable, ease of setup/adjustment, excellent quality for the price, and far exceeds my expectation for a good quality fluid drive movement. 5

I bought this tripod to use with my recently bought AG-AC90. Fluid panning. Sturdy tripod. I usually bought very inexpensive tripods and knew that I needed a quality tripod and head. Not disappointed with the tripod at all! Only gripe is the tripod case is a little too snug, so I bought a larger case. 5

I use this tripod to teach my Broadcasting students. It is very easy to use and very user-friendly. I also find it to be very durable (which is great for having a number of students handling it year after year). I love the weight, the stability, travel size, and level measure feature on it. 5

I've used Bogen/Manfrotto tripods that cost WAY more than this one. While they have some additional bells and whistles, this is easily the best tripod for the money. Solidly built, fast and easy to raise and lower, swivel ball head and solid mounting plate. For 99% of the work we do (interviews, marketing videos) this is perfect. 5

Im just starting out with this whole video scene but Im not ill-knowledgable. My whole rig that I need to support with the cam mixer, microphones, cables, accessories, weighs probably 12 minimal and goes way up from there depending on the accessories i have. This thing says it can only support 8.9 pounds... boy are they wrong this thing can handle way more. I love the sturdiness off the tripod as a whole, a lot more metal parts then there are plastic, hardly any plastic parts at all. If you have mixed feelings about this...DONT!!! It will blow you away when you finaly get it and start playing around with it! 5
