This is a systematic capture of a Jensen C8R Alnico speaker from the Vintage series, installed in two different cabinets (1x8" open-backed and 1x8" close-backed) in both original and remastered versions. The 1152 total IRs were developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing through an original speaker.

The C8R is a little gem in the Jensen Vintage series, delivering a solid compact tone that defies its size. Extremely versatile, it was originally designed for small home and student amplifiers; but with a microphone in front, it was soon discovered to be capable of transferring on tape some of the biggest tones ever. Not by chance, the vintage Fender Champ amplifiers loaded with the C8R are treasured by many players as great studio tools.
