A compact wide-angle prime with intuitive handling and an advanced optical design, the black M.Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2 from Olympus is a 24mm equivalent lens for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. The wide focal length pairs with the bright f/2 maximum aperture to benefit available light shooting as well as astrophotography applications. The lens's optical design makes use of one aspherical element, one DSA (Double Super Aspherical) element, and a Super HR (high refractive index) element to reduce spherical aberrations and control distortion for notable sharpness, and one extra-low dispersion element reduces color fringing for high clarity and color accuracy. Additionally, the lens is characterized by its Movie & Still Compatible autofocus system for quick and quiet performance, as well as a manual focus clutch and Snapshot Focus mode for intuitive control over focus position and depth of field.

Wide-angle prime lens is designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras and offers a 24mm equivalent focal length.
Bright f/2 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions.
Aspherical, DSA, and Super HR elements combine to control distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and resolution.
One extra-low dispersion element minimizes chromatic aberration and color fringing for greater clarity and color fidelity.
Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system benefits both photo and video applications due to its smooth, quiet, and fast performance.
Manual focus clutch lets you quickly pull the focusing ring into place for direct, intuitive focus control. This also reveals the Snapshot Focus mode, which incorporates a depth of field scale for working with hyperfocal focusing and zone focusing techniques.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm produces a smooth bokeh quality.

Q: 1. Does this lens has a clicked manual focus as Ive seen o na youtube video or thats an older version?
A: Yes, you can switch from auto focus to manual by pulling the lens ring towards the camera. It's a nice lens.
Q: 2. Looking for a wide lens that handles point light sources well, like shooting into a sunset or sunrise. I have the 7-14 f2.8 and the 12-40 f2.8 and both lenses have lots of flare when shooting into s strong point light source. How does this lens handle that type of lighting?
A: The only times I have had flare is if I am shooting with the sun in the frame and it wasn't behind any clouds and it was prominent in the frame (like center upper third) and it is wide open (f/2). In general I would say the flare control is quite good. It isn't something I really think of as an issue when I am using the lens. I would highly recommend. In comparison to the two lenses you mentioned, I have never used the 7-14, and I have not used the 12-40 extensively, but I would say the flare control is noticeably better on the 12 than the 12-40. Looking through a few thousand photos with my 12 I only see a small few with flare.
