Q: 1. I am not real computer literate,but was wondering why the 3.3ghz intel core i5 6 -core is more than the 3.8 ghz intel core i7 8-core. and which is better for editing photos and why?

A: The i5 is actually $500 cheaper if you select all the same options as on the i7. You should see slightly better performance with the i7, but that depends entirely on which photo editing software you're using and what you're doing in it. A: No, the only thing holding you back would be the 8GB DDR4 RAM. More memory helps with specifically the aspect of frame stutters.

Q: 4. Can I attach an EGPU to this iMac and benefit from a second/better graphics card?

A: The card that comes with this iMac is very good. It depends on your application if a eGPU would benefit or not. Note that an eGPU bypasses the computers installed GPU.

A: Using a product like the X-Rite i1 ColorChecker Pro Photo Kit (BH #XRI1CCPPK • MFR #EODIS3MSCCPP-B) will allow you to calibrate the display without issue.
