The Magnetic UltraMount from Pedco is a portable magnetic mount that supports small cameras, camcorders, optic scopes, and other devices with a 1/4"-20 thread. The ball mount has a simple, one-adjustment knob for quick and accurate multi-directional control so that the camera can be positioned at almost any angle. With a magnetic straight pull of 50 lb, devices are securely attached to magnetic surfaces such as railings, cars, cabinets, etc. This product is not recommended for use with SLRs or other heavy devices.

Please note: Always test the magnetic surface with the Magnetic UltraMount before attaching a camera or other digital device to make sure it is securely attached, as the pull strength of the magnet may vary depending on the surface it is attached to. Be cautious when removing the Magnetic UltraMount as the magnetic surface may scratch, remove, or damage painted surfaces or other finishes.

I have not used this yet. I wanted a small portable tripod for group timed shots. This tripod will do what I need plus more. The attached Velcro strap will make this useful on hike, by strapping it to tree branches. I will try it on my motorcycle handle bars. I hope my camera's stability is up for it. 5

I was surprised how well made his UltraPod is for the price. Nicely designed and the velcro was definitely a nice added feature. Made in USA.... aha! 5

I took this on vacation to a theme park. Easy to carry in a small pack. My favorite feature is the velcro strap. Can strap to a hand rail or seat arm and get a great shot in low light, or steady video. Also easy to set on a wall or bench. Seems sturdy. I use with a small (Flip style) video camera and a point and shoot still camera. Probably would support a DSLR. I wouldn't put my GL2 on it. 5

I've owned mine for over 3 years and I use it all the time, with a variety of cameras and camcorders. It's very easy to position and stays put. One feature that I love is the velcro strap. You can fold up the legs of the tripod, and wrap the velcro strap around a post or pole to mount the camera up and out of the way. I also own a gorillapod, and this one has proven to be more useful and more stable. In fact, I almost never even bother with the gorillapod. 5

I had a need for a compact tripod and this one more than meets my need. I was able to mount it on one of my mic boom stands to do a music video and it doesn't take up alot of room. I also am a backpacker and this is very light weight and utilitarian. It's made in the USA! 5
