Q: 1. Can the arca-swiss plate on the bottom be mounted left-to-right instead of front-to-back? I've seen videos that imply it can, but the photos show it only front-to-back.

A: Yes, Tilta handheld camera kit for Canon C70 allows a end-user to adjust the QR plate in both horizontal and vertical orientation.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with canon R5C or is there a specific Z-Finder available for Canon R5c?

A: The Zacuto Z-Finder for Canon C70 Cinema Camera is not compatible with the Canon R5 C and unfortunately Zacuto does not have a Z-Finder designed for the R5 C.

Q: 3. 2 questions.. 1. Will this fit properly and securely on gitzo traveler kit gt1545T+gh1382tqd? 2. Can I stack 2 of these units one on top of the other securely with no mechanical slop or wobbel-if stacked, should they be locktited (blue).. Thanks

A: The Acratech Tripod Head Riser, 2" has a 60mm diameter so it woudl hang over the edge of the the Gitzo GT1545T which has a 37mm diameter. Stacking 2 of the risers is physically possible but as a tripod head is raised higher by either a column or a riser, it increases the risk of shaking especially with long lenses.

Q: 4. Can the left handle be tilted forward or back for low angle shooting?

A: yes, the Tiltaing Handheld Camera Kit for Canon C70 side handle can be rotated to adjust to your shooting needs.

Q: 5. does this have any set screws?

A: The Acratech 1045 does not have set screws.

Q: 6. Can the 3/8" stud on the top be removed and replaced with a 1/4 - 20 stud?

A: Acratech Tripod Head Riser, 1" comes with a fixed 3/8-16 stud. You can unscrewed the stud and use a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 Threads male stud. The following option is compatible. Kirk Double Male Stud BH #KIDS1 • MFR #DS-1 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1204291-REG/kirk_ds_1_double_male_stud_with.html

Q: 7. Is this lens good for shots of a large group of people?

A: Not really unless your audience likes their bodies elongated or squashed. You can do groups at the 15 mm range but those are also subject to distortion at the sides. It's best for creative work.

Q: 8. Does the handle allow you to power and control (focus) a Nucleus nano motor?

A: No, But the included handle will support start and stop recording on the connected Canon C70.

Q: 9. I have a Sony A7 with Metabones Mark IV adaptor so I can use Canon EF lens. Is this Canon lens my best option for a fisheye lens for the A7 since I have the adaptor or is there something better? Thanks!

A: If you are looking for a Canon EF full-frame fisheye lens to use with the Metabones Mark IV adapter to attach to the Sony Alpha a7 Mirrorless Digital Camera, then yes, the Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Lens would be the best option currently available for your needs.

Q: 10. Do I need to order a lens filter/ protector for this lens?

A: Due to the extremely convex design of the front of this lens, there is no means of connecting a protective type filter or any filter for that matter. With lenses like this there are considerations in the design and type of glass and coatings used to minimize any scratches. The front of this lens has many optical coatings for protection and with normal care and use you wont find the need to further protect it. Further you the supplied lens hood can help buffer any accidental bumps the lens may encounter.

Sharp from edge to edge. My travel companion in addition to the 24-105L. I have the Canon 15mm fisheye, and Nikon 15mm AIS rectilinear lens, this 8-15L blows them away easily.

Years ago I bought an inexpensive fisheye lens and was impressed by how poor the image quality across the field. While I expected much better quality from Canon, the sharpness across the entire field exceeds those expectations. It can be used for serious artistic work in landscape and portraiture, or just plain fun to provide interesting perspectives of everyday objects. While the lens cap attachment does seem a bit flimsy, I have had no problems with it.

I mostly shoot landscape photography and bought this lens to be used with my new Canon 5D since the Canon 10-22mm was useless in this camera. Excellent lens that exceeds all my expectations and fun to use it too. Amazing colors and sharpness. For creative landscape photography all you have to do is play with the horizon line to avoid distortion so you can take real wide angle pictures without going totally fisheye, unless you really want to go totally creative and play with the fisheye at 8mm. Which is amazing too!!! When shooting close to subjects, careful with your feet or they will show in the picture.

I bought a cheaper fisheye lens in the past and it didn't cut it. Buying the right gear makes a huge difference and I think it's totally worth the little extra money to get a good lens.
