Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this deliver TRUE high speed sync as compared to the Canon high speed sync?

A: All Siros L units with the latest software update (bit.ly/2flZJmN) are HS compatible. HS lets you use flash in combination with very short exposure time settings on your camera. For example, with ambient light, even with the aperture wide open (selective focus), the image can be underexposed correctly with up to 1/8000 s and Siros L still lets you set dominant and creative light effects. All you need for this is the RFS 2.2 trigger, which is available for Nikon, Canon and Sony cameras.

Q: 2. How different is it from Godox X1T-F TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Nikon? other than the $100 price difference, of course.

A: This has completely different firmware and internals to work with the entire range of broncolor RFS2 compatible devices. It isn't compatible with the Godox system.

Q: 3. Will this tansceiver work on Broncolor Senso packs?

A: Yes, the triggering remote power control will work but modeling light control or HS are not possible.

Q: 4. This unit is not working with a Z6ii - is this a firmware issue? I've sent multiple emails to broncolor support and they don't answer them... :(

A: No. System will not adapt to the Z system.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with the Hasselblad H6D?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. does this work on the Hasselblad x1d

A: Yes, RFS2.2N works on the X1D with firmware v1.15.0 or later on the camera.

Q: 7. Will the RFS 2.2 work with my Photogenic 1250 monolights and what would be my fastest sync speed with this set-up?

A: The RFS2.2 cam be used as a receiver with non-broncolor lamps via its PC sync output port and communicate with a separate transceiver. Sync speed in this configuration is limited to the cameras maximum x-sync. When using broncolor Siros and Move lamps, HS mode allows for synchronization up to 1/8000s.

Q: 8. will this work on my sony camera as well in my phase one XF camera?

A: The RFS 2.2 S can be used with any camera with a sync output thanks to the transceiver's PC-Sync port on the side. The port can be configured as a sync input in this instance. The male shoe on the RFS 2.2 S however, is specific to the Sony style mount and will not fit other cameras. For use on standard (non-HS) camera hot shoes, we recommend the RFS 2.1 Transceiver.

Q: 9. I'm planning to use both the Siros 800L and Siros 400S. Will the RFS 2.2 Transceiver control the Siros 400S?

A: Yes, the RFS 2.2 N for Nikon can remotely control the power and modeling lamp of both Siros 800L and Siros 400S, along with standard flash sync for any RFS 2 enabled pack or lamp from broncolor. Note that HS flash synchronization is not possible on the Siros 400S though.

Q: 10. I have a pair of Canon 600EX-RT's and a ST-E3-RT. I know I won't be able to get the Broncolor's HSS to work with these. But, would I be able to a stick the ST-E3-RT on top of the RFS 2.2 and control the 600EX-RT's in standard shooting?

A: Hi Robert, Thanks for your question. The RFS2.2C's top hot shoe is only for x-sync only, meaning that while the flash would fire, any E-TTL or HSS signal would not be transmitted.
