A: I purchased the cheapest laser gun sight I could find on that big online site. The reason was it is easy to get the adapters to mount it on a tripod anything with a standard 20mm Weaver rail. With both the laser and receiver mounted on solid tripods I have fewer things to worry about. They also stay on until you turn them off.

A: I can't compare this to the shutterboss but I can compare to the Vello Stryker Lightning WHICH SUCKS! I have had it for almost 2 months and it does not work properly. B&H will not accept it for a return so I have had to obtain an RMA form the distributor and send it there. I have since bought the MIOPS and used it for fireworks on the weekend. It was very easy to use and work exactly as I expected! Very happy with it so far...waiting for lightning now!
