The only way to connect that XLR adapter to the camera is directly to the shoe mount.

A: Hi Shree, I am not familiar with Fuji products and I doubt the Canon flash cord would provide full functionality. But when I purchased my Leica I also purchased a Metz flash unit. The Canon cord did not work. To couple the Leica and Metz, I purchased a Vello off camera flash cord. The Vello cord seems to be more universal if anything can be called universal. You might want to look into it.
