Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What length does this extend to?

A: About an arms length, so I would say easily 3 feet.

Q: 2. Anyone know if this works on Sony FS700 with stock lens (18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 PZ OSS)?

A: Perfectly. I have used it regularly for over a year. It is better to have it plugged in the camera before you power it up. A detail per manufacturer.

Q: 3. Two questions:1. Will the power icon power on a BMCC?2. Can the cord be extended a 100 ft or so?Thank you!

A: This lanc will not work with the power icon, or as they call it Stand-by button, when used with the BMCC. We do have a 100 foot extender cord from VariZoom that you can purchase though.

Q: 4. Can FlexTT5 be triggered by the new Nikon SB 5000 used as a master by radio frequency?

A: No, it may not. The radio trigger in the Nikon SB-5000 Speedlight Flash requires a compatible Nikon DSLR camera using the Nikon WR-A10 Wireless Remote Adapter and Nikon WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller. It is not compatible with third party remote's radio signals, such as the PocketWizard FlexTT5 Transceiver Radio Slave. To use the PocketWizard FlexTT5 with the Nikon SB-5000 Speedlight Flash, you would need a FlexTT5/MiniTT1 remote on the camera's hot shoe to communicate with the FlexTT5 connected to the Nikon SB-5000 (that is, if the SB-5000 is compatible with the FlexTT5. As this is a new flash, it does not yet seem that PocketWizard has tested the flash and listed it as compatible for use with the SB-5000). In either case, if you wish to use PocketWizard remotes, you would need a PocketWizard remote connected to each off-camera flash to be triggered wirelessly, and it would be triggered by a PocketWizard remote on the camera.

Q: 5. Hi, Can PocketWizard FlexTTL can be used with non-Nikon flashes. I have One Nikon SB 800 and some other non-nikon TTL flashes. Will I be able to use this system with both Nikon and Non-Nikon TTL flashes? Thanks

A: Sorry. I do not know. I only have Nikon flashes. Good luck.

Q: 6. If I had a 3 flash set up, would I buy 3 of these? Or is there a receiver only model? (SB-700)

A: For three flash you would buy four, one for the camera and one per flash.

Q: 7. Will this work with the GH5 and 2 Elinchrom / Godox strobe lights?

A: HI! the one I have is for Nikon and works very well mixing strobes with plusX trigger and Nikon SB 700, 600 at the same time. I believe that if you choose the one for Panasonic will works well. Look is TT5 is for Panasonic also or just for Nikon, I remember that TT4 is for Canon

Q: 8. Does this work with the BMD Studio Camera 4K along with the Olympus M.Zuiko Pro Lens?

A: This LANC controller is compatible with the BMD Studio Camera. However the lens you mentioned does not have a power zoom to be controlled by zoom rocker.

Q: 9. Is this transmitter compatible with the transmitters that come with the Profoto D1 system?

A: no you need to use profoto transmitter with their system

Q: 10. Will this unit work with the Sony FX6, has anyone tried it ?

A: There is an extra LANC port on the rear of the camera body, similar to FS5 and that connector should support this LANC controller, although we have not been able to perform a bench test with this device.
