HDR10 color support provides bright whites and deep blacks for realistic looking photos, videos, and games. Using a built-in light sensor, HDRi optimizes the HDR effect according to the lighting conditions in your environment. It can also add high-dynamic range to non-HDR content without overexposing the highlights or exaggerating darkened areas.

Brightness Intelligence Plus makes use of the built-in ambient light sensor to detect the changing light levels of your environment, automatically adjusting on-screen brightness and color temperature to optimize viewing comfort.

Enjoy music, movies, and games with deep bass using the built-in 2.1-channel 3W speaker system.

The BenQ Premium EW3880R monitor includes two HDMI 2.0 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 input. You can help reduce desktop clutter by using the USB Type-C port to transfer video and audio through a single cable with compatible laptops.

Adjust the screen's height, tilt, and swivel to match your comfort. You can also attach the monitor to a wall, swivel arm, or multi-monitor stand using the 100 x 100mm VESA mounts.

This is the monitor I have been looking for to work along with my m1 MacBook and windows work laptop. Have had it since Friday but really put it through the test on Sunday with a full 12 hours data pull for work. All i need is the thunderbolt 4 cable and I automatically receive power of up to 96w and display. I am comfortable with 75hz as I don't game but that may be a downside for some people who do. Setup was simple and took less than a minute. Having one cable do all the work minimizes clutter. It has a super resolution mode so text and colors pop. Great for editing my photos on light room. If you're looking for one monitor like me this is an absolute beast. Multiple windows working simultaneously. Only issue I have is the 5k resolution option on M1 Macbook as the text and applications are way too small. I hope apple introduces layout scaling as my hp work lap top allows me to use 5k with text and image scaling. It troubles me but something I can live with. Other than that it seems to be holding up. I will say although not sure if it was my windows laptop but I it blacked out on me twice during the 12 hour work time, both times were a good 3 seconds. As for my Macbook haven't had that issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice, Bright and big, I like the format of the monitor as wide screen movies play very nicely. The monitor has some great connectivity TB4, DisplayPort and HDMI. The monitor appears to be built well, I wish the stand were more compact as it does take a lot of desk space - the design is nice looking but would be nice if the stand didn't hog so much of the Desk. All in all it's a great purchase, the resolution is sharp, plays well with the mac, and the curvature is not overwhelming.

This monitor was definitely worth the wait. Have it set up with a new 14" Mackbook Pro and works perfectly with the Thunderbolt cable. Was worried about the brightness but this monitor is plenty bright. The size of this monitor is awesome for productivity I would highly recommend.

The monitor is awesome. It's sort of heavy, but that is expected for its size. Not a fan of the stand it comes with, but it does its job just fine.

Pros:
-Similar pixel density to 27" 16:9 4K
-The only 5K2K with adaptive sync as of time of writing.
Cons:
-Hard to drive above 60fps at 5K2K (not a huge deal thanks to adaptive sync).

This will probably be viewed as an odd choice, but I picked this up for purely gaming and I've been loving it so far.

If you are like me and do not play competitive multiplayer titles, this is an amazing upgrade over your typical 27" 16:9 4K which I had before.

Just don't expect decent frame rates with ray traced effects in AAA titles. On an RTX3090 in Cyberbunk 2077, I'm only averaging ~45fps with DLSS performance when running at 5120 x 2160. Older or graphically simpler titles is where I've been spending most of my time, and the experience at this resolution and size is simply in another class compared to a 16:9 4K.

I do lots of work on spreadsheets and being able to see so many columns of data is amazing. I am also an astronomy photographer and often like to see several small photos at once. The HDR feature really helps the photos.

I've had this monitor for a year. I work full-time as an editor (90% in Premiere). Having 2160 pixels of vertical real estate is very important in my workflow, and it's hard to find in an ultra wide monitor. Replacing my dual 28 4k panels with this one was a bigger upgrade than I thought it would be. So nice to have no bezel in front of me. Colors are accurate enough for editing and preliminary/rough color work. I haven't had any connectivity issues with my computer going to sleep or not recognizing the display. Everything looks sharp, and the variable refresh up to 72Hz enough for what I need.

I'm on a Mac Studio M1 Max, with a mini DisplayPort to full size DisplayPort cable running straight into the panel - not through any thunderbolt hubs or breakout boxes. I have found using Thunderbolt to carry the display signal to be occasionally glitchy over the years, so I have abandoned it to keep things simple and (hopefully) reliable.

One caution that others have mentioned: If you are in a VERY bright room, you'll need a brighter screen. My office has lots of windows, white walls, and white cabinets. On a cloudy day, I can work with all the shades open. On a sunny day, I need to lower 1 or 2 of the shades. To me, the brightness is reasonable and the anti glare matte screen is as good as I expect paying this much for a monitor.

It is a great unit. I needed more space and i hated the two monitor system. This works perfectly for me.

Spacious screen. Looks good on my desk. Sharp. Bright enough. 72hz refresh rate is decent if single-monitor mode. It drops to 50hz if paired with another monitor (through the rear Thunderbolt port). Thunderbolt port works with my MacBook to chain either a 10GB NIC or another monitor. Wish there were more Thunderbolt ports. Tested with two systems plugged in at the same time (split screen/pbp picture-by-picture mode) in a few views.
