The Macro 150 from Really Right Stuff is designed to provide fine-focus adjustment for precise macro compositions. It simplifies focus stacking thanks to an integrated zeroing dial and a lead screw with a 1mm pitch. One revolution of the dial equals exactly 1mm of travel. Backlash and drift are virtually eliminated due to tight-tolerance CNC-machined components. And there is no need to adjust the stage tension, as it is individually set during assembly. The load capacity is rated to 20 lb.

A: Yes those two would work just fine together.

Q: 2. What is the difference. between this micro clamp and Really Right Stuff B2-FABN Screw-Knob Clamp with Strap Bosses (38mm)?

A: The B2-FABN Micro is a 22mm Clamp compared to the B2-FABN which is 38mm. Also, the B2-FABN-Micro has a QD socket for compatible use with the Magpul MS4 Dual QD Sling or the appropriate Magpul QD swivels. There are also two 1/4"-20 accessory sockets on the B2-FABN where the B2-FABN just has one. Lastly, the B2-FABN has two dovetails of opposing direction. A bottom male dovetail 90 degrees in orientation to the female clamp above.

Q: 3. can i use this on the BH30?

A: Yes, the Really Right Stuff PC-LR-40 Compact Panning Clamp features a built-in, patent-pending R-Mount, allowing you to rigidly mount it onto any Really Right Stuff ball head stem including the Really Right Stuff BH-30 Ball Head. Alternatively one can mount the Really Right Stuff TH-DVTL-40 Round Dovetail Plate to the bottom of the Panning Clamp to quickly attach and detach to the existing clamp.

Q: 4. Is this plate compatible with the Manfrotto 504PLONG? I have a Manfrotto MVH502AH video head and would like to be sure I can use it on that head. Thank you

A: Yes and no. the RS2 (and by extension this Really Right stuff substitute) is compatible with with Manfrotto tripod heads but it is more difficult to use than normal Manfrotto plates. It mounts from front to back instead of back to front. The fact that it mounts in the opposite direction makes it awkward to get the quick release plate on and off your tripod. the safety mechanism can get caught leaving your camera stuck on the tripod and requiring force to remove it. Yes the plate will mount on your tripod but it will be more difficult to get it on and off your tripod than a normal manfrotto quick release plate.

Q: 5. What is the difference is between the indexing version and the standard version? I see the standard one has the spirit level which the indexing one doesn't so trying to work out why it's $90 more?

A: The difference between RRS MH-01 and Indexing MH-02 monopod heads is best explained in the RRS video in youtube, type the following in the search bar:really right stuff monopod head with standard lever-release clampI purchased the MH-02 head as I did not wish to carry a separate tool and the orientation change was fast and elegant. The omission of the spirit level in MH-02 was not an issue with me as it would be really difficult to level the camera & lens on a monopod.

A: That is a part that RRS does not make any more.And you can use many other rails with that as it is Arca-Swiss style connection.

A: The Really Right Stuff B2-LLR-II Lever-Release Clamp (80mm) (B&H# RERELESECLMP) does not include screws nor mounting hardware. Its center socket has female 3/8"-16 threads and it will also accepts metric 6 (i.e. M6) and 1/4"-20 threaded screws via a bushing adapter when mounting to a ball head stem. An additional two 1/4"-20 threaded holes are spaced 45mm apart from the center socket.

A: I HAVE THE VERSION WITH THE KNOB RATHER THAN THE QUICK RELEASE LEVER. MOUNTING PLATES ARE ATTACHED TO CAMERAS AND BODIES AND TEND TO BE MODEL SPECIFIC. FOR THIS REASON, THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THE MONOPOD HEAD. A CHECK OF THE INCLUDED IN THE BOX SECTION WILL CONFIRM THIS FOR YOU.
