Let your creativity flow with the medium-sized black Xencelabs Pen Tablet, which features 10.33 x 5.8" active area that corresponds with 16:9 aspect ratio monitors to provide a natural, precise, and responsive drawing experience. Two electromagnetic resonance (EMR) pens are included with the pen tablet— a wider barrel pen with three programmable buttons along with a smaller barrel thin pen with two buttons that handles similarly to a standard pen or pencil. Both include 8192 levels of pressure with a ±60° tilt that delivers highly accurate thick or light lines as you draw. They also have built-in digital erasers and do not require batteries or charging. The three buttons at the top of the tablet allow for quick access to the tablet, pen, and switch display settings. A gently curved palm rest and adjustable LED lights along the drawing area make your use of the tablet as comfortable as possible.

With its minimalist, versatile design, the Xencelabs Pen Tablet connects to your compatible Windows or Mac computer via a wired USB connection or wirelessly through its included USB dongle. It also comes with a variety of accessories such as a drawing glove, both standard and felt replacement pen nibs, and a convenient carrying sleeve.

I like the small size of this tablet and its thin structure. It is perfect for my work in Lightroom, Photoshop, and ON1 apps. It replaces an older version that was a little bigger and bulkier.

This is my 2nd Wacom drawing tablet. I bought a CTL480 last year to use for whiteboarding with remote workers, and since that was discontinued I got the CTL490 recently. With the right software (I use Smooth Draw, which is free), both work very well for this purpose. I spend many hours with each, and the main difference seems to be the CTL480 has a smoother feel of nib on writing surface, which is better for writing words fast, and the CTL490 has a bit more scratchiness, which works better for true drawing & sketching. The CTL480 is actually a little too slippery for precision drawing. I like the slightly heavier and wider circumference of the CTL480 stylus better, but the 490 one works fine. I mapped the 152x95 mm drawing surface to 1728x1080 pixels (rather than using the default mapping) because this matches the aspect ratios, making natural hand motions on the tablet match what shows up on the screen. It's not quite as good as writing with your favorite pen or pencil or paper, but it's very good, and I like it better than writing directly on the screen of the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and 4. Those felt a little too slick for me, and if you're drawing the feel is quite important.
