Add wireless control and timecode support to your Portacapture X6 or X8 multitrack recorder or your DR-10L Pro miniature field recorder with the TASCAM AK-BT1, an ultracompact Bluetooth adapter that plugs directly into the USB-A port of your recorder and lets you control vital functions from a mobile device.

The free Portacapture Control app, offered on iOS and Android platforms, provides convenient access to the recorder's transport functions, gain, mix adjustments, and other parameters, even when the recorder is at a distance—with a maximum Bluetooth range of 32.8 feet, depending on conditions. This app-based integration makes producing videos, podcasts, songs, and location audio faster and easier.

With the AK-BT1 Bluetooth dongle, the X6, X8, or DR-10L Pro is ready to wirelessly sync timecode with supported Atomos products, including the Ultrasync Blue. Timecode allows videographers to perfectly align audio recordings with video, even when there is no audio on the camera. Timecode is crucial when videographers are dealing with multicamera video shoots, and saves valuable time in postproduction.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this work with gfx just as a Bluetooth remote?

A: The Fujifilm TG-BT1 Tripod Grip with Bluetooth is not compatible with the GFX series cameras.

Q: 2. Does it transfer audio file to my phone via Bluetooth? If not, does it allow my phone to play back audio file stored in the TASCAM X8?

A: No. The Tascam AK-BT1 allows you to remotely control your Portacapture X6/X8 Recorder.

Q: 3. is this compatible with the X-H1?

A: The FUJIFILM TG-BT1 Tripod Grip with Bluetooth is not compatible with the Fuji X-H1 camera.

Q: 4. Which rechargeable battery pack do you recommend with this?

A: Your best bet is an external cell phone battery pack. The batteries Duracell or rechargeable only last about 39 min of continuous operation. The external last for days continuous. I have a 10000 mah.I bought for 22 dollars and it last for days at continuous operation.

Q: 5. What is the file naming structure? Can I customize the file names? After formatting the SD Card, my zoom recorder starts over with the same names. Too many files named Zoom001.

A: The structure is a word or the date followed by an underscore and then an iterated number. You can choose whether you want it to be a word (e.g. TASCAM) or the date. If you choose the word option, you can set the word to whatever you like. It seems to retain the numbering across reformatting, at least when I reformat the card using the device. You have the option to reset the iterated number whenever you want.

Q: 6. What about the X-H2?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM TG-BT1 Tripod Grip with Bluetooth is compatible with the FUJIFILM X-H2 Mirrorless Camera, with camera firmware version 1.20 and later.

Q: 7. Can I use a Rode Wireless GO system and an NTG4 with this? Or would there be an issue with supplying power?

A: This recorder can supply the required 48 volts power for the NTG4 mic, through an XLR cable. To connect the wireless go receiver to the mic inputs on the DR60D mkII, I would recommend using an adapter like BH #KOAXMMF .

Q: 8. What size of screw mount is on the bottom of this?

A: Tim M,1/4 .Full details on the unit's features and functions:a href= http://www.tascam.com/product/dr-60dmkii/downloads/ target= _blank http://www.tascam.com/product/dr-60dmkii/downloads//aThank you for your interest in TASCAM products.

Q: 9. With which lenses does this product allow zooming in and out?

A: At the moment, the FUJIFILM XF 18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR Lens, BH # FU18120RWR would be a compatible lens. https://bhpho.to/3PQNT6Z

Q: 10. Can DR-60DmkII 4-Channel Portable Recorder also be used with Video Camera's?

A: The Dr60D MKII was designed to be mounted to a DSLR camera, however it can be connected to and used with any camera that features a 3.5mm mic input jack.
