The 1.4x EF Extender III by Canon performs exactly as expected. I use it with my Canon 70 - 200 f4 and it has functioned perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone wanting the ability to reach out a little farther with your lense.

I bought the 1.4x EF III after using the 2x EF III and have not been disappointed at all. The 2x does not produce very crisp images, and tends to slow the lens down too much, but the 1.4x allows for both fast focusing, and images are sharp. For me this extender is the weakest link in my photo gear, but for the price it performs well and the images have been crisp and clear. I would highly recommend this item and look forward to many fun trips with it.
