A: 35 inches, from end to end, including the plug on each end. Don't think your idea will work. Weight shouldn't be too much, the light is (well) light.

A: It is twice as big as the smaller one. It is too expensive, but it makes beautiful diffused light. I guess they can charge what they want as long as people are buying. I have two sets. I just worry about wear and tear in the future. I haven't had an issue yet though.

Q: 3. Does this charge the battery or just seat it and run power to the Astra from the battery? I'm looking to buy The digital 150 or 190, but don't want to also spend $700 on a dual charger if I don't need to.

A: No, it's a pain. You have two XLR powers dangling form the light. (One for AC the other for DC). I hate it.

A: This will work on the Astra Soft.

A: I agree with the above answer. Better design with the newer LED model. The ballast can be removed from the Astra LED making the whole rig less cumbersome. My only comment is that the ballast power connector is hard-wired to the ballast- seems like a weak point and possible trouble if used a lot.

Q: 10. Any idea what kind of screws I'll need to fix this bracket onto the Litepanel? I've lost the ones supplied.
