But extends when doubled or just put together like two pieces connected by the inner elastic cable. It is very precise in that it fits 1 of four into the photogenic aluminum mount for my flash heads. This item was back ordered or never came to ship. I bought a replacement but its smaller. The photogenic softbox is large rectangular with silver or gold or white inside and has another soft diffusion square that can be velcro to the front between the flash bulb and subject making it a reflector and a softbox at tgd same time. I go to the site and they want to sell a new one. I will not buy again from them if i cannot fix what i already have!

A: Unfortunately, Photoflex does not offer their softbox replacement rods with a bungee cord inside. Chimera is a brand that does, but their rods do not fit Photoflex softboxes. A: Speed rings used with a small Photoflex Litedome can also work with this larger size.

Q: 10. How long is this?

A: Softbox rods are specific certain models and do not have a length spec.

One of my old Photoflex softbox fiberglass rods snapped. Ordered 5 metal replacements (one spare)from B&H. ...The rods are so good I will not need the spare. :-) 5

On the verge of tossing my large Photoflex LiteDome Q93 in the trash, I considered that the manufacturer might have replacement rods for the one that melted and broke. They didn't; but they recommended contacting B&H with a specific model which B&H had and quickly shipped to me. Upon receiving the new rods (I bought 4 as they were very affordable), I put the softbox back together and should be good for the next 10 years! 5

I recently bought a used Photoflex LiteDome Q3-9 medium dome softbox that was missing a support rod. This one fit the pocket in the softbox and speed ring perfectly and matched the length of the other rods. Seems a bit expensive for what it is, but it got my softbox back in operation. 5

Great and cheap for replacing bad rods. Because the shape of the softbox is important, remember to order 4 the first time so you've got exactly the same length rods in your box. 5

I bent one of my rods badly and ordered these to to replace the one I bent and an extra rod incase I get stupid again. The rod was perfect and my softbox is usable again. Thanks B&H the order arrived early and in perfect shape 5
