A: The lens will still be a 30mm focal length lens but the field of view on a crop sensor will equivalent to a 45mm lens on a 35mm camera (slightly more on a Canon SLR). The magnification of the lens remains constant but what is recorded relative to a full frame sensor at 30mm is smaller.It will act more like a normal 50mm lens than a wide angle. And you will gain more depth of field relative to using a 50mm on a full frame sensor.It's a nice lens.
