A: STM stands for Stepping Motor. It is an internal focus motor used in certain Canon lenses: it is extremely smooth and silent making it ideal for autofocus during video.

Q: 3. Will these lenses work with a Canon EOS RP mirrorless camera? I have the adapter!

A: These lenses will work on the Canon RP with the EF-RF adapter. The 10-18 is not full frame though, so it will crop the sensor. Some videographers like to use it on the RP anyway because the RP has a crop mode in 4k video and due to that the 10-18 works well as it is very wide and with the crop you get a good wide angle of view.

A: HeriHere is the response from the Canon tech dept:I know the K1000, it is an older 35mm film camera that is sought out by a lot of photography enthusiasts. None of our lenses will fit this camera directly. There may be some third party adapters out there, but since those are not Canon products we cannot guarantee their compatibility or quality.

A: While the 50mm f/1.8 lens included in this kit would be compatible with full frame Canon DLSRs, the 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 is only compatible with the APS-C size sensor Canon DSLRS: it would not be compatible with a full frame camera.
