The red CUBE Street II from Boss is a compact battery-powered portable stereo amplifier/speaker combo that's well suited to on-the-go musicians and performers looking for an easy-to-use, grab-and-go solution with Boss quality sound and reliability. This second generation of the popular original doubles the total output power of the two high-performance 6.5" speakers to 10W and features an updated ABS injection-molded form factor that's even lighter to carry at only 9.75 lb.

The versatile amp runs on eight AA batteries or the included AC adapter and offers two main input connectors: a TRS/XLR combo input for microphones and instruments and a TS 1/4" input for guitars and unbalanced microphones. The mic/instrument channel offers harmony, three-band EQ, and reverb effects, while the guitar/mic channel offers nine types of amps to choose from along with three-band EQ, chorus/delay, and a tuner. An additional 3.5mm input jack allows you to input music from a mobile device to jam.

Additional functions include the onboard 45-second stereo looper, automatic harmony function, and a reduced power Eco mode that halves the output power to 5W to extend the battery life. A separately available Bluetooth adapter allows you to wireless stream music from a mobile device and edit the amp functions remotely with the companion CUBE Street II Editor app. And, you can also practice and jam with the CUBE JAM app for iOS.

Compared with its popular predecessor, the CUBE Street II is even lighter and more durable thanks to its modern ABS injection-molded design. The output power has been doubled too, giving you 10 total watts of crisp and clean stereo sound to cut through street traffic, train arrivals, and other noise challenges on the gig. In quieter situations where you don't need as much headroom, kicking in Eco mode reduces the power to extend battery life.

With two ultraversatile input channels, the CUBE Street II supports all types of musicians and performers. The Mic/Instrument channel features a combo jack for either an XLR balanced mic or an instrument such as a keyboard or Roland's Aerophone. Equipped with a standard 1/4 inch jack, the Guitar/Mic channel provides plug-and-play sound for guitarists with seven acoustic and electric amp types, as well as settings for a line-level instrument or unbalanced mic. And if you ever need to expand your sonic reach, dedicated outputs are available for connecting to a house PA or another CUBE Street II.

The CUBE Street II is packed with features to enhance your sound and bring fresh energy to shows. Each channel provides dedicated three-band EQ and reverb, and there’s a chorus/delay effect on the Guitar/Mic channel. The harmony function on the Mic/Instrument channel creates impressive vocal harmonies that will make audiences wonder where the background singers are hiding. Harmonies are produced as you sing based on the guitar chords you play or a key you set, and you can bring them in and out as needed with an optional footswitch. There’s a built-in looper too, providing a powerful and fun way to create backing tracks on the spot.

The CUBE Street II helps you reach both in-person and global audiences at the same time. Via i-CUBE Link and USB, you can send the amp's audio output to video, livestreaming, or music production apps for on-the-spot capture. The i-CUBE Link jack provides a mono output and connects to most phones and tablets with the included cable, while USB supports a stereo digital connection to a computer or an iOS device.

While designed with performing musicians in mind, the CUBE Street II excels in any situation that requires high-quality sound. It’s easy to move and sets up anywhere, making it perfect for speaking in presentations, workshops, and school events. And with the ability to play music as well—either wired through the aux input or wirelessly with the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter—the CUBE Street II is ideal for background entertainment and impromptu karaoke performances.

Adding the Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (available separately) brings even greater creative power to the CUBE Street II. You can wirelessly connect your phone or tablet and jam live with backing tracks or play break music between sets. It also provides connectivity for the CUBE Street II Editor, a powerful free app for iOS and Android that provides wireless access to a wide range of functions unavailable from the CUBE Street II panel.

A: It is battery only. There is no way to power with AC.

Q: 3. On our photo team we have both Canon and Nikon shooters. So we only need the two Air Remotes, right? In other words, the B1 isn't Nikon or Canon specific, its the remotes, correct?

A: Yes, you can get just a remote for the cameras and that's only if you want TTL. By the way, they are expensive, but when I got the TTL for the Nikon, I would consider these the best purchase I've made in the last few years.

A: As per the manufacturer, there are no lux ratings recorded for the base of this tent at the highest setting.

Q: 10. I'd like to photograph an item that is longer than the tent. Would it be possible to slip it under the front and leave a portion outside the tent. Or is it possible to open the entire front of the tent?

A: While the Angler Port-a-Cube LED Light Tent with Dimmer II (Large, 27") may not be as stable with the front open, you should be able to still use the light tent with the front open for your planned shooting needs.
