Q: 1. ok for 40mm lens?

A: Great for more telephoto lenses, but for wider angle lenses like a 40mm lens, you may see some vignetting with a hood like this.

Q: 2. If used on a Samsung 20-50mm lens, will the original lens cap still fit with the hood in place?

A: Yes, the front of the hood is also 40.5mm and will accept the original lens cap.

Q: 3. Re: Heliopan 7354H Lens Hood Is this too short to work effectivly for a 50mm lens?

A: On a full frame sensor, a 50mm with a 40.5mm front diameter would not vignette.

Q: 4. Do these work with vinyl backdrops? I have the wall mounted hooks and 96" rolls of vinyl but have not been able to unroll them more than halfway before the entire roll's weight unravels the entire roll almost ripping it off its core. The chain links have snapped multiple times as well and just don't seem sturdy enough to work unless I have something set up incorrectly.

A: For vinyl I would use the metal change. And I would not go larger than the width you are using now because the foll becomes too heavy for the drives. You must use both sides of the chain to have a controlled lowering of vinyl because it is heavier. Holding both sides of the loop of chain should keep it from spinning uncontrollably off the cardboard roll. We do not sell the Impact chain on it's own but the Manfrotto 091MCG Metal Chain for Expan Drive, Gray 11.5' (3.5 m) BH #MA091MCG will work on your Impact drives and should not break,

Q: 5. Does the sliding plate have both 1/4 and 3/8 screw together?

A: No, there are not screwed together, but you have the option of both. The plate is drilled for both options and also includes the screws. I hope it helps your question.

A: Yes. It fits the grips perfectly on my Arca Swiss Monoball tripod head.

Q: 7. can this be mounted to the ceiling?

A: From what I can tell, this is designed to be mounted to both the wall and ceiling. The hooks on are shaped to hold the rolls either from the wall or ceiling, not just the wall (as other answers would have you believe). The Varidrives that hold the rolls are also designed so that they can support something hanging from the wall or the ceiling. Like a previous answer said, you should mount into a wood beam when securing into the ceiling.

Q: 8. Is this suitable for people with smaller frames? I know the Double Breathe also came in a "Slim" variant.

A: The straps on the BlackRapid Blackline II Double Camera Harness can be reduced to 17'' long. The BlackRapid Double Slim Breathe Camera Harness padded strap is 42mm wide and the nylon strap is 24mm wide.

Q: 9. How is access to the battery achieved if the grip does not have to be removed first?

A: On other Fujifilm grips the grip is left open/not covered in that area for access to battery and memory card. We don't have this item in stock yet but it should follow suit with the others.
