This 60mm 695/092 IR Dark Red MRC Basic Filter from B+W is a moderate strength infrared filter that does not block the complete visible light spectrum, enabling image recording with visible and invisible IR components. The black and white contrasts are not as high as those produced by black-red IR filters.

The filter is made of precision German optical glass, each side featuring 7 layers of Broadband coating for high contrast pictures with minimal residual reflection and uniform light transmission. The brass filter ring features an enhanced knurling pattern for improved grip and a special functional coating for smooth mounting and dismounting. The ring features front threads, and its low-profile design makes it suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How bad is the focus breathing?

A: Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens has some focus breathing but it is low and not very noticeable.

Q: 2. its work with Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight?

A: When the Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight Flash is set for off-camera usage as an optical infrared receiver, yes, the Vello FWIRC-N FreeWave IR TTL Flash Commander for Nikon will work as a on-camera Commander to wirelessly control your flash.

Q: 3. Will all of automatic the features on this lens work with the JVC Gyls300? And is there a crop factor with this and the JVc?

A: Yes, this lens should work with the LS300's auto focus. The lens is meant to cover a Micro Four Thirds sensor, so it will have a 2x crop factor and be the 35mm equivalent of a 24-120mm lens.

Q: 4. Will the ios on this lens will work with lumix GX8?. Thanks

A: Yes it will it was built to work with this camera and works well I have the combo and it my grab and go set up.

Q: 5. What f/stop does this lens have at 35mm?

A: The aperture number increases Linearly with the zoom. If I use A mode and set the initial aperture to f2.8 and turn the zoom up, the aperture will move to 2.9,3.0,3.1... 3.9, 4.0 to reach 60mm. The Panasonic rep said it is good for video. Some people have hoped that it will remain 2.8 until ... mm NO. Does not work that way.

Q: 6. Does this work with the Nikon SB 28 DX?Do I have to attach anything to the Nikon Flash or does it receive signals from the remote automatically by IR out of the box?Do I understand it correctly that the unit will control my flash remotely including power control, TTL and also in Manual mode?

A: Since the Nikon SB-28DX is not compatible with the Nikon CLS system nor does it use i-TTL communication, it would not be compatible with this product. When using the product with a Nikon i-TTL compatible flash, you would need to set the flash to remote mode in order to control the power, TTL, and to use the flash in manual mode.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with Nikon Z6 and Z7 bodies?

A: I just tried on my Z7 with two Nikon R1 ring flashes. It worked perfectly. Very annoyed with no way to trigger remote flash from Z7. Not sure I like the twist-tight onto hot-shoe. Nikon flash's flip-tight is much better.

Q: 8. Can this lens works with any Micro Four Thirds System, such as new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K?

A: Yes, the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens should be compatible for use with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

Q: 9. Are the optics of this lens going to be on par with the 12-35mm 2.8 previous gen? That is an amazing lens, but the zoom on this thing is tempting cause 35mm isn't enough.

A: I have both lenses, and the new lens is a bit better. It's equally sharp, with better color rendition and does not cause sun flare to become green and purple blobs.

Q: 10. is this 12-60mm truly parfocal lens?I just saw a review that showed it was, but have not yet seen anyone else speak of this or prove also.

A: I am an amateur at best, but, from my understanding of a parfocal lens, I would say yes; it maintains crisp focus while moving from 12 to 60mm with or without the autofocus switched on.
