This 72mm IR Black Red MRC Basic Filter #830/093 from B+W is a full intensity infrared filter that blocks the complete visible light spectrum, enabling image recording of the pure IR light range without visible red. The black and white contrasts are higher than those produced by dark-red IR filters.

The filter is made of precision German optical glass, each side featuring seven layers of Broadband coating for high contrast pictures with minimal residual reflection and uniform light transmission. The brass filter ring features an enhanced knurling pattern for improved grip and a special functional coating for smooth mounting and dismounting. The ring features front threads, and its low-profile design makes it suitable for use with wide-angle lenses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with Neo Rotolight?

A: According to Rotolight, the Neo 2 does not have IR triggering capabilities, so the Vello FWIRC-C FreeWave IR TTL Flash Commander for Canon will not work with it. Since the Neo 2 has a sync port, it can be connected to and triggered by multiple brands of [radio] transmitter/receiver sets using a PC sync to 3.5mm cable.

Q: 2. Could this be used as a basic controller to operate a series of flashes in manual mode for a Fuji X-e2? Not interested in TTL capabilities, but the ability to use it as a basic controller/trigger.

A: No, that is designed to be used for Canon cameras and flashes that have the IR TTL system.

Q: 3. will this work with the Canon 50D ? I also have a Canon 580EXII which I want have work with my 50D instead of my Pocket wizards

A: This flash commander can work with the Canon 50D to fire the 580EX II.

Q: 4. Will this allow access to the Flash Control Menu on Nikon D500?

A: All the flash control will be done from the commander only.

Q: 5. Does it work with Yongnuo Speedlite YN600EX-RT?

A: Technically it should work. The YN600ex-RT has an Infrared receiver. But the manufactures have not tested there products together.

Q: 6. Will this remote work with the Olympus M10 Mark IV?

A: Unfortunately, this remote is not compatible with the OM-D E-M10 Mark IV.

Q: 7. Does this work with the Nikon SB 28 DX?Do I have to attach anything to the Nikon Flash or does it receive signals from the remote automatically by IR out of the box?Do I understand it correctly that the unit will control my flash remotely including power control, TTL and also in Manual mode?

A: Since the Nikon SB-28DX is not compatible with the Nikon CLS system nor does it use i-TTL communication, it would not be compatible with this product. When using the product with a Nikon i-TTL compatible flash, you would need to set the flash to remote mode in order to control the power, TTL, and to use the flash in manual mode.

Q: 8. Does this work with nikon 7000 and sb 800 flash?

A: Yes, however if you utilize the flash control "Commander Mode" function of the D7000 you don't actually need it. Check your camera's user manual for more information.

Q: 9. its work with Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight?

A: When the Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight Flash is set for off-camera usage as an optical infrared receiver, yes, the Vello FWIRC-N FreeWave IR TTL Flash Commander for Nikon will work as a on-camera Commander to wirelessly control your flash.

Q: 10. have a d5100 and SB600Flash...will this Vello be compatible and trigger the SB600?without an additional receiver?

A: It is compatible with the SB-600. I've never used it with a D5100 so unable to confirm that.
