Ensuring that your gear stays well protected from the elements, the patented PowerClaw latching system uses compressive force and triple action to clamp your case tight. Integrated slide locks offer added security, preventing your case from opening during transport or if it's dropped. The tough nylon construction and stainless steel hardware ensure that your important items stay safe no matter where your journey takes you.

Nanuk protective cases were primarily designed for front line protection, search and rescue missions, first responders, military, industrial, plus marine and diving. The professionals who rely on Nanuk cases require a reliable, waterproof solution which resists deformation and fatigue. Nanuk ensures a long-lasting, watertight seal.

Impact resistant, lightweight, and armed with an NK-7 resin body, the Nanuk 940 protective case is designed with rounded corners, thick, strong walls, and oversized details. No matter what nature throws your way, the Nanuk case is built to survive. This Nanuk is shock-absorbent to prevent damage to the case and its valuable contents.

Changes in altitude, temperature, humidity, and geographic location create a "vacuum lock" which can effectively seal a case shut. Nanuk's integrated auto-pressure release valve equalizes this atmospheric pressure difference. Using state-of-the-art technology, the micro vent allows air to pass through while preventing water from entering.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Ronin S support a Sony AX100e video camera ?

A: The Ronin-S is geared more towards Mirrorless and DSLR cameras. However we believe it should be able to balance a small camcorder like the Sony AX100e as well. It may not offer the full range of motion that you would have with a small camera though.

Q: 2. What cable do I need in order to connect to Nikon D850? The included cables aren't compatible.

A: A Multi-Camera Control Cable with a USB Connection should be included. If you do not have all the parts listed as In the Box please email cs@bphoto.com for assistance.

Q: 3. will this work with my D810 ?

A: As reported by B&H Details of the Ronin Ss payload capacity arent currently available, but DJI assures users that the new Ronins high-torque motors will support popular camera-and-lens combinations, such as the Canon 5D, Panasonic GH, and Sony Alpha systems. Seeing the Canon 5D on the rig says to me that the D810 with a small to moderate size lens should work.

Q: 4. Why Ronin S doesnt connect with Sony? There will be some upgraded?

A: We're still working with camera manufacturers to provide as much compatibility as possible. When progress is made you will likely need a firmware upgrade to accommodate it.

Q: 5. What is the difference between the essential kit and the Ronin S kit?

A: The Ronin-S itself is the same in both kits, however the standard kit will come with a Metal Tripod instead of the Plastic Tripod in the Essentials kit and it will come with more accessories. Both Kits come with the following items: Battery Grip, Camera Mounting Plate, USB Type-C Cable, Lens Support, Camera Riser, Touch Faster Strap for Gimbal, Storage Cage, 3 x 1/4"-20 Screws, 1 Year Warranty on Gimbal and a 6 month Warranty on the Motors. The Standard Kit comes with these as well: Focus Wheel, IR Control Cable, USB-C Camera Control Cable, USB Micro-B Camera Control Cable, 24W USB Power Supply, Accessory Box, Hex Key and Touch Faster Strap for cable.

Q: 6. Does it work with the Panasonic Lumix G85?

A: You will be able to shoot with a camera like the Lumix G85 on the Ronin-S. However at this time DJI does not list the G85 as compatible with all of the control features of the Ronin-S.

Q: 7. Could I use a smart phone tripod mount on a Ronin S or any other stabilizers? I just want to have more diversity. Sometimes I'd like to shoot using a smartphone but sometimes I'd like to use a DSLR.

A: The Ronin-S was not designed to stabilize smartphones so we don't recommend it, but there is no minimum payload limit for the Ronin-S. The height may be an impediment for tilt rotation.

Q: 8. Im Wondering will this Work with a Canon 70D and a sigma 18-35. I have a beholder DS1 and the lens is too long so the camera body hits the back motor wondering will this do the same even though the different design

A: Again not tested. However, DJI says Canon cameras and their lenses can be remotely controlled.

Q: 9. Will the Ronin S be functional with smaller compact cameras? Specifically the Sony Rx100 V?

A: Currently DJI is listing Mirrorless and DSLR cameras as compatible with this unit. The RX100 V, and other point and shoot cameras, are not listed as compatible. However the Ronin-S does not list a minimum weight capacity either, so they may work. We will need to wait for the products release to learn more about all the various cameras that will and will not properly balance on this gimbal.

Q: 10. Has anyone heard anything on battery life!?

A: I have had the privilege to use multiple beta Ronin-S units and I got anywhere from 8-10 hours depending on the payload. Final specs will be released shortly.

I use for DJI phantom 2. Excellent for carry all the equipment together.

I use this case to store and transport a high end refractor telescope and its accessories. The pick and pluck foam made it easy to customize it for my gear for maximum protection. Awesome product!

If you have $ in camera gear you want to take in a canoe island hopping off the coast of Maine this is cheap insurance. Using it as a dry bag for cloths etc. can be problematic when they get wet.I do recommend you do not load one to the point where it sinks. it is likely not a problem for a big case but there is a sob story or two about expensive gear getting sunk deep...Also you need to pack the pockets completely (If you plan to give your gear a delay beating like I do) so I get packing foam out of the trash at work and cut it with a hot wire. Rattling = busted stuff. If this is what you plan to do them this is the case you need.

This case is big enough that I can fit my entire sound kit in it. There is a ring of set foam around the sides and then the interior is the pick-n-pluck stuff, but there are two separate layers of it. I was able to make two levels of cutouts so that I can stack items on top of each other which is great for me. It could make things a little more awkward for narrow but tall items. The build is very strong and the wheels are nice, I haven't had a problem with them catching the edges of rugs and they are fine on rough pavement. Haven't tried taking it off-road but I wouldn't expect any case to handle that well. It's a little heavy and the size gets a little awkward, so if you don't absolutely need to go this big I would get the next size down, any smaller would not have worked for me though.

I gives this case a 10/10!!! I work for a retail/event photography company and we use the case to hold 3 camera bodies, 3 lenses, 3 strobes, 3 camera frames, 3 quantum battery packs and misc batteries/cords! This case is awesome and can even hold another set of everything mentioned above. The wheels allow it to be portable and since we pack it daily, it is a must for our use! I would recommend this case to anyone with camera gear or tech gear!

This is the largest pelican case that a single person can reasonably handle, and then only because of the excellent wheel and handle system. It easily fits small to mid sized tripods, light stands, and 1'x1' LED panels with batteries and chargers with room left for many assorted odds and ends. The latches are many and strong, and I use cable ties to make a convenient seal/backuo closure. I usually put some spares in the case and a note asking TSA to replace the ties if they cut them for inspection. These cases are a bit heavy, but the protection is worth it. I routinely ship gear ahead to locations (this is NOT a carry-on) via UPS or Fedex and these cases are the best protection money can buy.
