A: Yes, the Ronin-S is a great tool for shooting a short film. Just as long as you are using it with a compatible DSLR or Mirrorless camera it will give you fantastic results.

A: Hey Tom. No, the Ronin-S is only designed to be used with DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

Q: 3. Is it possible to use it with a little camcorder?

Q: 4. Does the unit have a zoom function? Or is it manual zoom on the lens itself? (I understand I can move forward and back to get closer to my subject, but most of my shots are in a large space. Zoom functionality is helpful on occasion.)

A: Just autofocus. You would hav to control zoom on camera or potential program zoom to adjust on the toggle.

Q: 5. Which controls (start/stop recording, follow focus etc.) would be available in a RoninS/BMPCC 4K/PanaLeica 12-60mm combination?

A: Currently no internal compatibility with the BMPCC 4K have been developed, though we are currently working on expanding the compatibility list to include as many cameras as possible.

Q: 6. The camera compatibility list shows the Canon 6 series as supported - however, in the package, I cannot find a cable that works with the Canon 6D MK II. Does it?

A: Hey David. We've added start/stop and video recording compatibility with the 6D using the included RSS-IR cable.

Q: 7. Is this fully (focus) compatible with the Canon T6s/T6i?

A: While you will be able to balance and shoot with cameras like the Canon T6s and T6i on the Ronin-S, they are not listed as compatible for full electronic control through the gimbal.

Q: 8. Will the Ronin-S and all of his functions properly work with a Canon 800D/T7i?

A: At the time of this posting, December 5th 2018, no. However DJI has stated in their most recent update to the Ronin-S compatibility chart that they are working on improving the RSS-IR cable reliability and developing USB shutter control for the 80D.

Q: 9. Is there a setup/cable available that will support the following on Sony A& III: record stop/start, shutter release, aperature, shutter speed and ISO control?
