The 67mm UV-Haze #010 MRC MASTER Filter from B+W blocks UV light, which can cause blurring and a blueish cast. An invisible component of daylight, UV light is more intense in pure sea air and high mountain regions. This filter is color-neutral and can be kept on your lens even when you don't need it, simply to protect the front of the lens. The filter element is made of glass and is highly transparent.

Featuring B+W's MRC nano coating, the filter has an extremely low reflection. The optical information remains unaffected when it reaches the image sensor. The hydrophobic coating reduces the adhesion tendency of dirt particles and water droplets. With MRC nano coating, a water droplet remains practically spherical. It rolls over the surface, and a first-rate dirt- and water-repellent effect occurs.

Q: 10. I am a bit confused, it states that it is a DX format lens, but states it is compatible with the Z6/Z7 cameras. Will it function in FX mode on a Z6/Z7 camera? If so, I could see this lens being a nice compact video lens with a gimbal.

A: When using this lens on an FX camera, the FX camera would go into DX mode, and you'd be using the center most portion of the sensor as opposed to the full size of an FX sensor.

I purchased this filter after finally deciding to discard the Tiffen filter that has been on my lens since I started. When I got an assignment abroad in a hot, sunny location, I thought it was the best time to get a new one since the loss of color/contrast from the Tiffen filter was finally getting to me when comparing the results of that to the Hoya filters that I've bought for the other lens I own. The clerk at the counter suggested that I replace the Tiffen with a B+W filter. While I can't obtain spectral data from the B+W filter compared to the other filters I own, I would say by looking at my photos, there is a really clear difference seen in the photos. Now I have to check the camera data to see which lens I ended using for each shot instead of correctly guessing which one was taken with the Tiffen filter lens. The B+W filter does a great job of keeping the contrast and reducing the summer haze. It saved me so much time from editing photos! Out of the box, the filter felt heavier than expected, but sturdy. The difference in the materials used can be seen and heard (squeak) compared to my other filters, and I could easily remove the UV filter from my camera no matter how hot and humid it was that day. The old filter had literally melted onto the lens from years of heat and humidity. Other notes about the sturdiness of the B+W filter: While waiting for the ferry, a large tourist bumped into me, sending me and my camera (which I was wearing on my shoulder) into a metal rail. The lens cap wasn't on at the time and the rail struck the filter. The glass didn't crack, but it loosened from the ring holding it in place, which I easily just popped back in later. Whew! 5

This one replaced an earlier version that sacrificed itself to save my precious lens which my kid dropped lens down onto concrete... it actually shattered and jammed into the threads, but the lens was unharmed unbelievably.... Fuji XF 16mm is build like a Tank. I had to cut out the brass ring to get it out - Terrifying but convincing as to the value of this filter. 5

Can't go wrong with B+W filters. Purchased this 95mm UV filter to protect my new Nikon 200-500mm lens. Never even notice that it's on. Rather damage the filter than put a scratch on the lens. If I put a polarizer on, I remove the UV filter. 5
