Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the expiry of this film?Thank you.

A: The expiration date of the RVP 135-36 Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50) is at least 6 months away. While we cannot give the exact expiration date of the film, any film on our site that was within 6 months of its expiration date would be sold as short dated and specifically listed as such on our site.

Q: 2. can this film be projected?

A: No, this is negative film, it would have to be converter to a positive.

Q: 3. Does this work for a Yashica Super-8 25?

A: Kodak VISION3 500T Color Negative Film #7219 (Super 8, 50' Roll) is compatible with the Yashica Super-8 25 camera.

Q: 4. Is this film DX coded?

A: Adox films do not have a DX code so the ISO needs to be set manually.

Q: 5. Will this work in a Bell & Howell Filmosonic 1223, Super 8 Movie Camera?

A: Yes!

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Kodak Ektasound 140?

A: Yes! You should be good to go. Keep that medium alive!

Q: 7. How is this film stored? If it is frozen, then the expiration date doesn't matter as much.

A: My experience with slide film is that when frozen it retains very good reproductive quality. 5-6 years ago I purchased a large stock of Elite Chrome - EB-3 and EBX. I recently brought out some rolls of EBX - 2012 exp. - and the developed product looks gorgeous. I purchased some of these Velvia 50 and have stored them in the freezer and expect they will be fine when I get around to using them. I have some rolls of Velvia I have had for many years and every time I have used a roll the colors are fine. Also, I take the film out of the freezer shortly before I am going to use it. I warm it in my hand for 10 or so minutes and/or put it under my leg on the seat of the car for the drive to wherever I am going to shoot a roll. I have never had any issues. Think about it. If you are taking photos in the winter, the film in the camera is pretty close to what is the ambient temperature. Of course there is a limit, but the batteries in the camera usually fail prior to that point anyway. One final thing. Prior to sending for development, I keep the exposed rolls in the freezer too.

Q: 8. Do yku sell the developer?. Is there an uodate liat for labs that can develop this film.

A: You can process Adox Scala 50 Black and White Reversal Film yourself at home with the Foma Reversal Kit - Model #70150. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3GHbd2h Alternatively, the following labs offer B&W slide development service: dr5, Stuart, Iowa, USA (via mail) Klaus Wehner, Paderborn (per mail-order) with DMAX guarantee 3.5 Fotostudio 13, Stuttgart (local drop of or via mail) Foto Fehling, Bergmannstrasse, Berlin (Local drop off) ARKALAB, Paris (local drop off) Foto Leutner, Vienna (Austria) Agenzia Luce (Italien)

Q: 9. hellocan i use this film for outside filming ...do i have to screw any filter in front of the camera lens?

A: all film is tungsten balanced, meaning you need an 85B filter if shooting outdoors. however almost every super-8 camera has this built in. you should see a switch on the camera with a lightbulb/sun.

Q: 10. Is this film still in production?

A: Yes, I just got an order of Velvia 50 with a 2017 expiration and also Velvia 100 with a 2018 expiration.
