Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this be a good choice for viewing planets, I.e. Jupiter, Saturn, etc?

A: Planets appear small and are very bright in the eVscope. Because they are so bright, they can only be observed in "Live View" mode. The same is true for the moon, but it just about fits into the eVscope's field of view (its height does not quite fit). Can I see planets with a telescope? Image result for Can eVscope see planets? With just a small or medium-sized telescope, skygazers can easily observe planets. You'll be surprised how much of our solar system you can see! And you don't need a dark sky to view all of our solar system's planets; even under city lights, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn can be easy to see with a telescope.

Q: 2. What kind of USB connect from hand controller to my computer to update program?

A: It has a mini-B connection. So you could use this cable: https://bhpho.to/2lSO7eg

Q: 3. What type of lunar and planetary imaging can I expect with the eVscope 2?

A: The Unistellar eVscope 2 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope is fine for lunar viewing but planets will only appear as bright stars. The telescope lacks proper magnification for planetary viewing.

Q: 4. Can I plug into my laptop to view telescope feed/images?

A: The Unistellar eVscope 2 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope, does not have a USB output to plug your laptop. This telescope is made to communicate to your laptop with the Control App for iOS and Android, through your phone or tablet.

Q: 5. Can you use a dslr camera with the celestron astromaster 130eq ?

A: I'd add that Celestron only has T-Rings for Canon EOS and Nikon cameras. Bummer for me, since I have neither. On their web site Celestron recommends using the Universal Barlow & T-Adapter (#93649) with most Newtonians. I got the Barlow as part of their Accessory Kit, and have enjoyed it (without being able to attach my DSLR camera).FWIW I have the 114EQ and there is a bolt for mounting a camera on one of my tube rings.

Q: 6. Can I use the Hestia system on my own tripod?

A: The Vaonis Hestia Smartphone Telescope System can use any tripod that has a 3/8 stud. It is recommended to use a fluid head tripod.

Q: 7. Will the Celestron Collimation Eyepiece (1.25) allow the realignment of this telescope's mirror?

A: Yes, the collimation eyepiece will assist in collimating the Cometron's primary mirror.

Q: 8. Would you rather have the capability to use your smart phone and an app, or do you think a telescope furnished with a computerized controller to be better?

A: A computerized Go-To system like the one in the Celestron Astro Fi 130mm f/5 Reflector Telescope is easier to use and more accurate. The smart phone guide systems are generally lower cost.

Q: 9. Does the telescope comes with the backpack?

A: Currently the Unistellar Telescope Backpack BH #UNBP • MFR #BACKPACK is an accessory to the Unistellar eVscope eQuinox 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope BH #UNEVSEQ • MFR #EVSCOPE EQUINOX

Q: 10. Can a dslr camera be attached to the celestron astromaster 130 eq?

A: Yes a DSLR can be. I would need to know exactly which DSLR you have to recommend the proper adapters.
