Enjoy finer exposure control with minimal color shift by adding a 95mm True Color ND-VARIO Pro Nano Variable ND Filter from NiSi to your kit. These filters are designed to reduce exposure while maintaining "True Color" with minimal color shift. Their 1- to 5-stop ND range has hard stops at each end that will ensure the "X" effect will not appear in your images. Being able to seamlessly adjust exposure will ensure the images are being captured at their best quality.

The filter is made of high-definition optical glass and features NiSi Nano coating that offers anti-reflective properties to reduce flare and ghosting. Also, the filter is water- and oil-resistant to make it easy to clean and shoot in inclement weather. The lens comes with a removable rotating lever for easier operation. The 95mm front filter thread allows an additional filter to be stacked on front of this filter with only a minimal chance of vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses. It is recommended that this filter be used on 35mm (full-frame equivalent, 28mm for APS-C) or longer focal length lenses.

Q: 1. .So I'm getting ready to purchase and narrowed it down to Bescor FP-312 and the Genaray 7100T...I heard from some that say the Genaray re The Tungsten setting will give you a pinkish orange hue, and the daylight setting a strong red pinkish hue. I know this was written 3 years ago, however, this concerns me. Anyone can verify that the color temp is accurate?...thank you

A: Recent (2017) reports suggest both of these lights do a good job for the price with no adverse color issues.

Q: 2. Would you buy it again? If not, recommendations?

A: Yes, the LED-7100T offers a bright, soft light output, with precision controls, in a compact form-factor. It's very lightweight and perfectly suitable for on-camera applications, and is just as ideal for AC-powered, continuous studio setups.

Q: 3. will this fit on a Cannon Vixia HFG10 without any adapters?

A: This light, as well as most others, will require an adapter to fit into Canon's mini advanced accessory shoe:The Pearstone CSA-II Universal Shoe Adapter for Canon Camcorders with Mini Advanced Shoe is designed for all Canon Camcorders with a Mini Advanced Accessory Shoe. It allows you to mount external lights and microphones that feature a universal (AIS) cold shoe. Plus it features a locking wheel that's not only easier to lock, but holds better to the camera than previous models. It also has a front stop on the top shoe for more secure mounting. Q: 4. With the on-camera light, are you able to still use manual mode on your camera, or does it automatically force you to shoot in auto mode? I know with detached flashes you cant shoot in manual mode, thanks!

A: You can shoot in your camera's manual or automatic modes.

Q: 5. Can the Genaray 7100t be used off camera for videography?

A: Yes, the Genaray 7100t can be used off camera for videography.

Q: 6. What difference does it make the amount of LEDs?

A: With a light of this design the amount of LEDs will determine the overall brightness.

Q: 7. How long does it take a totally dead battery to charge?

A: A full charge usually takes about 4 hours.

Q: 8. Is there a large softbox (larger than 36") that is compatible with this? Need a diffuser for it for indoor filming.

A: We are not aware of a softbox for this light.

Q: 9. What is the dropoff in lux as distance is increased? 1440 lux at 3' would be what at 6'?Thanks.

A: At 6 feet, the output would be 360 lux. Light quantity is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source of that physical quantity.

Q: 10. Where can I buy just that Shoe adapter

A: Here is a list of compatible shoe adapters: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/products/Accessory-Cold-Shoe-Adapters/ci/18944?filters=fct_top-mounting_3263%3A1-4in-20-male

I use this filter to protect the lens. The filter is multi coated and has a thin frame so there is no issue with wide angle shots. The filter also has threads so extra filters may be attached. Not the least expensive product available but for the quality of B+W filter this is a value purchase. I have not found any negative issues.

I've always been trusting B+W uv fiters to protect my lenses. This ont though, the xs-pro edition, is so thin, yet still has the front thread. Love it. Especially I placed it on Voigtlander 40mm f/2 Ultron, that is tiny, they just are a great fit!

This is an excellent slim filter to be used with a ultrawide zoon lens. Specifically, I bought this UV multi coated filter for my Canon EF 16-35mm 2.8L II Lens. To avoid any additional vignetting caused by a filter, I did my research to find the slimiest B+W filter and it came down to 2 choices. Either the B+W Slim version or the XS-Pro version. The difference between the two is that the Slim version is about 3mm thick and you cannot use your regular Canon lens cap on it; the filter provides you a custom push on cap which I've heard easily slips off by accident once in a while. The XS-Pro version is about 3.4mm thick and you can use your original Canon lens cap (big bonus). So I chose the XS-Pro due the cap reason. For the about 3 weeks I've used it so far, it has worked we'll with no noticible addition of vignetting and it is much slimmer than regular B+W F-Pro versions of filters (5mm thick). I would highly recommend this filter if you've got a ultra-wide angle zoom of some sort.
