Excellent for acoustic and electric instruments as well as for vocals, the extremely versatile Shure Beta 57A Microphone is a dynamic microphone that provides optimal warmth and presence. The Beta 57A is appropriate for drums, guitars, vocals, and horns, giving true studio-quality sound.

The Beta 57A maintains a true supercardioid pattern throughout its frequency range, ensuring high gain before feedback, maximum isolation from other sound sources, and minimal off-axis tone coloration. Its neodymium magnet achieves a high signal/noise ratio, and a completely new hardened steel mesh grill design lets you take better advantage of proximity effect. The grill resists wear and endures abuse, too. The Beta 57A is an exceptionally versatile microphone, packaged in an advanced pneumatic shock mount.

I use the Beta 57 to amplify voices for a public board of education at remote meetings around the district. The mics' supercardioid pickup pattern provides excellent volume before feedback. It is a solid all-around performer that also sounds very good on recorded music performances.

Well, I was very impressed with the sound quality of my voice using the Shure Beta 57a. Even though many recording engineers use this mic as an instrument (guitar) mic I think it is also a great vocal mic as well. Now, I just recently used it for my Zoom meetings. People were amazed by the sound quality of my voice. I am constantly getting compliments using the Shure Beta 57a. Great mic at a great mic. You can't go wrong with Shure's quality. The Shure SM 57 has been a workhorse go to instrumental mic for many years. The Beta 57A makes incremental improvements while retaining the things that made the 57 so great.

This is the upgraded version of the sm57; more dynamics, more detail. Generally, the sm57 are used to capture acoustic or electric guitar and drums. I found out that the Beta 57A does an excellent job on my voice, and just had to buy one for my self. Great value for the money.

We have an announcer on our show who is a Metal singer and because he lacks a certain amount of finesse when doing voice over no broadcast mic seemed to do the trick. This one did.
