The PL Mount 75mm T2.1 Super35 Prime Cine Lens from Meike boasts a 33.6mm image circle compatible with Super35 cameras to produce high-quality, cinematic footage. The 13 elements in 11 groups ensure a smooth, circular bokeh, and multiple lens coatings prevent flares and ghosting. Both lens and iris are equipped with 0.8 MOD gears for compatibility with industry-standard follow focus and iris controls.

The lens has a minimum focal distance of 27.6" and focus rotation of 270°. A 77mm filter thread and 80mm outer diameter allow for compatibility with most matte boxes and filters for further customization. The markings on the side of the lens are listed in both metric and imperial measurements for easier focus pulls.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any electronic connection to camera or is it fully manual?

A: The, SLR Magic 10mm T2.1 Hyperprime Cine Lens (MFT Mount) is a fully manual lens without electronic connections.

Q: 2. Is it exactly the slr magic 10mm t2.1 hyperprime lens with the microprime outer body or are they two completely different lenses? I am looking at which one to buy. Thank you.

A: The mechanics for the MicroPrime CINE 10mm T2.1 lens in MFT mount is superior when compared to the HyperPrime as it is designed for professional use. Further, when end users purchase a set of SLR Magic MicroPrime CINE lenses in MFT mount, the position of the gears are the same and they can switch lenses without having to waste time changing the position of the focus gear and the aperture gear on their focus puller. The glass element of SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 10mm T2.1 lens in mFT mount is the same as the SLR Magic MicroPrime CINE 10mm T2.1 lens in mFT mount.

Q: 3. Does this lens work on Panasonic GH5S?

A: Yes, this is an MFT mount lens. This lens will work with the GH5S.

Q: 4. What are the markings 16 8 4 4 8 16 for?

A: That is the lens's hyperfocal distance scale. Normally only found on manual prime lenses like this, it can be a very useful tool. First determine your aperture and by using the image above of the lens as an example, lets say it is a f/16. The lens focus is set here to 3'6 . Note that the right hand 16 lines up with 10' and the left hand 16 lines up with 2'4 . This is your depth of field with this 10mm lens, with a aperture setting of f/16 and a focus of 3'6 . Your area in focus is 7'8 . Another example, one very good for gimbal work. Move the focus ring until the Infinity (Inf) mark lines up with the right hand aperture of whatever the aperture is be it 4 or 8 or 16. Then look to the corresponding one on the left and note the distance on the focus ring. That means everything from that point to infinity is in focus. No focus pulling needed. This knowledge was the basis of my profession as a camera assistant. Sometimes I would wish all lenses had this much dept of field.

Q: 5. Do these lens have a coarse thread?

A: The DZOFilm Pictor 20-55mm and 50-125mm T2.8 Super35 Zoom Lens (PL Mount and EF Mount, Black) (B&H# DZPLBB) feature standard (i.e. non coarse) 0.75mm filter threads that are 86mm in diameter.

Q: 6. 25mm was NAFTA qualify this one is not NAFTA qualified?thanks

A: It is up to the manufacturer to provide the proper NAFTA paper work regarding an items eligibility.

Q: 7. Is this the same optical design as found in earlier lenses from Meike or new design?

A: The manufacturer claims that the Meike 10mm T2.2 Cine Lens (RF Mount) BH #MEMK10T22RF has evolved since its earlier models. We are not able to determine if the overall optical or mechanics have been redesigned or simply updated/refreshed.

Q: 8. does this work on C70?

A: Yes, the Meike 10mm T2.2 Cine Lens (RF Mount) is compatible with the Canon C70.

Q: 9. Between this and 8mm of Slr Magic, is there any image quality difference since 10mm is way expensive?

A: The image quality should be comparable. What you are paying for is a far more robust housing in the 10mm. It is rugged for it is meant to be used on set all day, every day. The 8mm is designed to be much lighter since its principal use is for drones.

Q: 10. Will this lens work on a bmpcc 6k?

A: No, the Meike 10mm T2.2 Cine Lens (MFT Mount) would not be compatible with the Black Magic Pocket Camera 6k's Canon EF lens mount. Meike does not have a similar 10mm lens with Canon EF mount. The closest choice with EF mount from Meike would the Meike 18mm T2.1 Super35 Cinema Prime Lens (EF Mount) BH #MEMKS18T21EF.
