The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is tan and comes with a 2mm diameter Duramax cable. It terminates to a Switchcraft TA5-F connector for use with Audio-Technica wireless transmitters.

A: We have not tested the mic with any third party apps, but users on the web have reported that the iQ7 microphone does work with FaceTime. We do not have any information about compatibility with Zoom meetings/conferencing app.

A: This will be very similar in design to previous models, but not identical. While it will depend on the exact cage you have, if the XLR unit you have now sits on top or over the cage this should work in the same way.

Q: 9. Does this device work with the 8plus? Could this device be rewired to accept a stereo ear mic?

A: The Zoom iQ7 will work with the iPhone 8 plus but will not accept an external microphone. The 1/8 connection on the side is an output jack for headphone monitoring.

A: The iQ7 will work with Facetime as well as most other apps that support input from an external microphone.
