The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is cocoa and comes with a 1mm diameter cable. It terminates to a 1/8" (3.5mm) Mini connector for use with Azden wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. Do you also sell the gimbal bracket, and the vlock plate?

A: The Lilliput HT10S 10.1" High-Bright 1500 cd/m² On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor battery plates are available at B&H. Please contact Lilliput for the the stand.

Q: 2. I have a Panasonic AG-UX180 professional camcorder. It has XLR input. I use this camera to record RC Airplane flight. Even though shotgun mics are designed for close-up audio, will this shotgun also work for distance airplane sound? If not, please recommend something in a similar price range that would work better. THANKS!

A: You would be better off with a longer shotgun mic for recording anything at a distance. The narrower audio spectrum highly increases the directional capability, therefore, decreasing unwanted peripheral sounds. In the low price range, you could consider the Audio Technica AT8015 US$299.00.

Q: 3. Would this mic work with my Sony adapter for my A7s? It has an xlr in??

A: The NTG4+ will work with an XLR adapter that is able to provide 48 volts phantom power to the mic.

Q: 4. What is the difference between NTG 1 and NTG 2

A: I have both. The NTG2 uses a AA battery. Ive seen specs that claim there is a tiny bit of difference in performance but it depends on your size restrictions and phantom power requirements. The NTG1 is great on most of my cams and in podcasts where the space might be an issue and upplying power to it isnt a problem. Recently I started.using a Tascam 70D the power drain is so bad on it I will often switch to the NTG2 to save battery on the mixer/recorder.

Q: 5. Would this be a good battery to power the Aputure LS300x?

A: Yes, the IDX System Technology DUO-C198P 193Wh High-Load Li-Ion V-Mount Battery would be a perfect fit for the Aputure LS300x (V-Mount) Bi-Color LED Monolight.

Q: 6. Can this be charged from a MacBook Pro USB-C charger?

A: You cannot charge the IDX System Technology DUO-C150P 145Wh High-Load Li-Ion V-Mount Battery from a USB-C charger. There is not enough power. Use a proper charger like this.IDX System Technology D-Tap Advanced Port Battery Charger BH #IDVLDT1 • MFR #VL-DT1

Q: 7. How long is the cord? Can a longer cord be attached? What type of cord?

A: The BOYA BY-BM6060 does not include a cable. The mic has an XLR output and can be powered by a single AA battery or phantom power. If you are connecting the mic directly to the mic input on a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or a camera or recorder with a 3.5mm mic input, then you will need to use a battery to power the mic and you can use an XLR female to 3.5mm TRS male cable. To connect the BY-BM6060 to a camera or recorder with an XLR mic input, use an XLR female to XLR male cable. If the device can supply phantom power, then a battery is not required to power the mic. However, if the device cannot supply phantom power or if you do not want to use power from the device, then use a battery is required. The cable can be as short or as long as needed.

Q: 8. How can this microphone claim so much greater directionality (down 14 dB at 60 degrees off-axis) than other shotgun microphones of similar physical length. Is it a typo?

A: The physical length alone does not determine directinality. It is the overal design and engineering that achieves this specification. Q: 9. Can it be plugged in zoom H1?

A: Yes you will need a xlr cable to do that.

Q: 10. Will this microphone work via AA battery and +48 if the internal battery has already died?

A: The NTG4+ does not operate on AA battery power. It features an internal rechargeable battery for power or can utilize phantom power.
