The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.
The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.
This version of the E6s is light beige and comes with a 1mm diameter cable. It terminates to a Screw-on TA4-F connector for use with Mipro and Beyerdynamic wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. What is the difference between NTG 1 and NTG 2
A: I have both. The NTG2 uses a AA battery. Ive seen specs that claim there is a tiny bit of difference in performance but it depends on your size restrictions and phantom power requirements. The NTG1 is great on most of my cams and in podcasts where the space might be an issue and upplying power to it isnt a problem. Recently I started.using a Tascam 70D the power drain is so bad on it I will often switch to the NTG2 to save battery on the mixer/recorder.
Q: 2. Can this microphone be used with a AA battery for source of power also?
A: The NTG-1 does not feature battery power capability, however the NTG-2 is the same mic with the addition of the AA battery compartment.
Q: 3. Does this device work with iPhone 6?
A: The iQ7 is compatible wit the iPhone 6 and other iOS devices that feature a Lightning connector running iOS 6.0 or newer.
Q: 4. Is there an IDX battery available with a higher maximum load? More than 14amps? We want to power an Aputure 600d.
A: When powering the Aputure 600d, there is a requirement of using a 26 volt battery. IDX doesn't make a 26V option, however you can use the Nanlite 14.8V / 26V V-Mount Battery Adapter (NAMP150BA ) on a standard 14.8V battery or go with an option like the Fxlion BP-7S270 26V 270Wh Lithium-Ion Battery (V-Mount) (FXBP7S270 ) in powering the light.
Q: 5. How long is the cord? Can a longer cord be attached? What type of cord?
A: The BOYA BY-BM6060 does not include a cable. The mic has an XLR output and can be powered by a single AA battery or phantom power. If you are connecting the mic directly to the mic input on a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or a camera or recorder with a 3.5mm mic input, then you will need to use a battery to power the mic and you can use an XLR female to 3.5mm TRS male cable. To connect the BY-BM6060 to a camera or recorder with an XLR mic input, use an XLR female to XLR male cable. If the device can supply phantom power, then a battery is not required to power the mic. However, if the device cannot supply phantom power or if you do not want to use power from the device, then use a battery is required. The cable can be as short or as long as needed.
Q: 6. Does this device work with the 8plus? Could this device be rewired to accept a stereo ear mic?
A: The Zoom iQ7 will work with the iPhone 8 plus but will not accept an external microphone. The 1/8 connection on the side is an output jack for headphone monitoring.
Q: 7. I know that technically shotgun mics are meant for outdoor use, but does anyone have any experience with how well or poorly the rode ntg4 does inside, as in have you used it on your production indoor with satisfying enough results?
A: We bought ours primarily for indoor use and have been very satisfied with the results. We have a loud HVAC unit and the built in filter on the mic took away that sound and kept great clarity.
Q: 8. I'm new to shotgun microphones and need some info. What are the scenarios(preferably with examples) where I'd need to absolutely use the battery power of NTG4+? My camera is Sony a7II and recorder would be Zoom H5. The shotgun will mostly be used in a boom setup but it'd be nice to use it on-camera sometimes. I understand that NTG4+ has both Phantom and battery power. Is there are reason to pick the NTG4+ over the NTG4, in my scenario? Is there any advantages/disadvantages of using battery power over phantom power or vice versa?
A: The only time you would require the battery power of the NTG4+ is if you did not have access to phantom power. Powering via phantom power is usually preferred by most as it is one less battery to worry about. Also, there may be some coloration to the tonal characteristics of the NTG4+ microphone as the battery depletes, where as the NTG4 is receiving constant power thru another source; in your case the Zoom H5. Keep in mind if you are powering the microphone with phantom power by way of the Zoom H5, the battery time usage on the recorder will be affected.
Q: 9. Can it be plugged in zoom H1?
A: Yes you will need a xlr cable to do that.
Q: 10. Have anyone tried this with the DJI Osmo 2? Can the osmo balance iPhone with the mic connected?
A: Sorry not sure never used the Osmo
