Stabilizing your camera moves has become the name of the game, and the Helix 4-Axis Camera Stabilizer with RC Module from Letus35 stabilizes cameras weighting up to 16 pounds in three axes with its brushless gimbals. This Helix is built from aluminum, which provides an excellent balance between weight and strength. The Helix is a powered stabilizer that features a modular design with a removable platform for each of the three axes: roll, pan, and tilt. The modular design allows you to quickly turn your three-axis stabilizer into a one-axis stabilizer. This unit includes the 4th axis, which allows you to mount the Helix on a third party balancing system, such as a Steadicam, or tripod, while retaining full function of the Helix's 3 Axes. An optional spacer is required for mounting the stabilizer to a vest/arm-type stabilizer. The factory installed RC module provides remote control of the pan and tilt functions by a second camera operator.

The Helix balances around the optical center of your camera, providing less stress on the system and your cameras image stabilization system, but also allowing nodal camera rolls. The flat bottom design of the Helix allows you to place it down on a flat surface without requiring a stand mount or other support. It incorporates a cold shoe and 1/4"-20 accessory mounting points on the unit and handgrips.

The Helix is designed balance and stabilize around the optical center of your camera/lens combination. This allows you to do nodal point rolls, and as the image sensor movement is reduced significantly compared to off-center stabilizers, image stabilization is improved.

It has been tested to work with cameras as light as the Sony a7S, and works with cameras weighing up to 16 pounds.

The RC module allows you to remotely control the Helix using a Spektrum compatible controller (Spektrum DX7, DX6i, Dx8, etc.).

This Helix comes with the RC module installed. The module provides control of the stabilizer's pan and tilt fucntions by a second operator. The RC module is a factory installation option only, and if you have a Helix that you want to add the RC option to, you will have to send it back to Letus35.

You support the Helix system by holding onto it with two hands; the right handgrip allows you to tilt the Helix, while the left handgrip rotates freely.

Each axis platform of the system allows balance adjustment that reduces operating stress on the unit and the operator, and is indexed in millimeters allowing quick re-sets when switching between lenses.

Re-balancing the Helix after a lens changes is simply a matter of sliding a single axis forward or back. You can be back up and running without missing a beat.

The Helix system can be built up or torn down to accommodate your needs. Use one axis on top of an optional arm/vest type stabilizer for an auto-horizon solution. Switch to a three-axis setup to go full handheld.

The electronics are protected from reverse polarity, overheating, and over-current conditions.

The USB interface allows for configuration, control, and firmware upgrades.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this unit be remote controlled? How much is the RC? Is there software to adjust the unit like the Movi? Can it be on my iMac portable, iPad or iPhone or must it be on my desktop? How hard to adjust is it? I was told by their engineer that they were updating the 3 axis units with a sturdier control board/circuit board. Was this done? Thank you, Dr. Berne Shaw, a loyal B&H Customer and very much wanting to buy Helix 3 axis unit

A: Yes, the Helix can be remote controlled by a RC control if you purchase the 2nd Operator mode. Futaba is a well regarded brand of remote controllers that we sell. The number of channels and the frequencies need to be determined before purchasing. Prices for the Futaba start around $165.00. You can access the Helix for adjustments via the Bluetooth Module. We suggest that, while they can be added later, getting both the 2nd Operator Mode and the Bluetooth module installed beforehand is a very good idea since they can only be added by Letus technicians.Since the Helix is only on pre-order at this time, you will be assured of getting the very latest version.

Q: 2. Can this work with Ursa Mini 4.6 G2?

A: NO it will Not. that camera is out of the payload range

Q: 3. Follow up question in regards to the Letus 35 and the Letus Pro- what is the difference/better for the Sony FX9?

A: The Letus35 Helix 3-Axis Camera Stabilizer with Bluetooth/RC Modules is designed for camera setups weighing up to 16 lb while the Letus35 Letus Helix Pro is designed for setups weighing up to 20 lb along with a front support ring to eliminate flex. Considering the size of the Sony FX9, the Pro version may be a better choice.

Q: 4. can the main stage be separated to use as a 1-axis on a steadicam?

A: Yes, this can be broken down to a single axis. We even offer BH #LELTHXJRAL1A which is the Letus35 Helix Jr. 1-Axis Aluminum Camera Stabilizer. https://bhpho.to/2Lk2Azm

Q: 5. Can the Letus35 hold a Black Magic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k?With a lens and battery I'd be within the payload, but it looks like a lot of dslr/mirrorless shooters are using this. Not sure if there'd be enough clearance in the back with the battery. Does the battery have a D-Tap outlet I could use to power the UMP?

A: If it is within the payload it should work, however you may need the Letus35 Heavy Duty Camera Plate for Helix, B&H # LELTHXHDC as well. That plate allows you to balance larger cameras on the Helix. https://bhpho.to/2iasObp

Q: 6. Is this gimbal compatible with the BMPCC 6K w Rokinon Primes and follow focus?

A: Yes, this gimbal has a 12 pound load capacity. It will be able to handle the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, Rokinon Lenses and a Follow Focus system. It is recommended to get the standard camera plate for a bit of a larger set up. https://bhpho.to/36ZmHLN

Q: 7. Will this hold an Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k? With a lens & battery I’m under 16lbs, but not sure if it will support the form factor.

A: If your total load is under 16 pounds it should work, however you more than likely will need to add the Letus35 Heavy Duty Camera Plate for Helix, B&H # LELTHXHDCP. The heavy duty plate allows you to use a larger sized camera on the Helix. https://bhpho.to/2iasObp

Q: 8. Will this hold aN Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k?

A: According to Letus, yes you can fly a BMD URSA Mini Pro 4.6K with the Helix 3. You will need this cable, Letus35 Sony F5/F55 Power Cable for Helix (XLR to LEMO) B&H # LELTHXXLR and they strongly suggest a second battery, Letus35 Helix Juice Box Battery (5200 mAh) B&H # LELTHXJBOX.

Q: 9. Would Komodo with a v-mount fit on this rig?

A: Yes a Red Komodo should fit the Letus Helix Jr, with a low profile v mount battery.

Q: 10. Does this work with the Canon C300 II and Canon 16-35mm lens?

A: To use a camera the size of the C300 Mark II with this gimbal you would need to add the standard camera plate. https://bhpho.to/3dDhijV

With a payload of 2lb, the Moza Mini-P replaces a number of different gimbals for my smaller cameras including the iphone 13 pro, GoPro 9 and 10, and Sony RX100 VII, all with accessories. I was overall quite happy with the 1lb-payload Hohem iSteady Multi but with the iphone 13 pro, external tele lens and mic, the gimbal at times shakes. The Moza offers all the features of a modern gimbal with a useful payload at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Only had it a few days and crashed my electric scooter, hit the concrete and although scratched up a bit, still works perfectly.

Hi, the gimbal is small and light with a good grip. It is fully featured with a long-lasting battery. It is also splash-proof which is ideal for my wet-weather shooting. I definitively love this gimbal (and its price) and would recommend it to everyone filming in inclement (interesting!) weather.

I tried various gimbals such as DJI's Ronin, Ronin-M, Ronin-S, Ronin SC2, Jiyoon Crane, and Weevil. The performance of the gimbal gradually improved, but the price became expensive and sensitive, so it took time to adapt to the initial setting or moving. It was always a pity to perfectly control the speed and direction of my body and the speed of camera movement I wanted.
Scorp-c solved all of that.
Affordable price, decent payload and motor torque for mirrorless needs.
I liked the details that can be adjusted through the app.
Above all, from the basic setting, it moved as if I was wearing clothes that fit my body.
Low-level, eye-level, high-level, light weight that can be used at any height,
A support leg on the handle is a great idea for putting the gimbal down for a while.
One unfortunate thing is the connection with my camera Fuji X-s10,
I saw that recording control was possible through the Feiyu website, but it didn't work.
Just in case, I tried connecting a different C-type cable and TRS remote, but it failed.
However, it is definitely a gimbal that has more advantages than disadvantages.
I wasted a lot of money and time looking for a gimbal that was right for me, but now I can spread it to shooting without wasting time.

All is good works well it's easy to understand the functions and they all work well. The setup is painless and for my camera which is a GH5 I can use a very large array of lenses and the weight is not an issue so far.
