The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is tan and comes with a 2mm diameter Duramax cable. It terminates to a Microdot connector for use with Sennheiser wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. Will this work with an Alexa Mini LF without the need for a Pre Amp?

A: A Pre Amp would be required. Also there are other parts that would need to be added to connect and work with the microphone on an Arri LF camera. Preamp choices - Beachtek DXA-ALEXA Low-Noise Preamplifier for ARRI ALEXA Mini Camera BH #BEDXAALEXA • MFR #DXA-ALEXA Beachtek BT-PWR D-Tap to 2-Pin LEMO Power Cable for DXA-ALEXA / DXA-CINE BH #BEBTPWR • MFR #BT-PWR Beachtek BT-LEMO XLR5F to Right-Angle LEMO Adapter Cable (17.7") BH #BEBTLEMO • MFR #BT-LEMO Also you would need this for the camera - ARRI SAB-1 Side Accessory Bracket for ALEXA Mini BH #ARSAB1 • MFR #K2.0012692

Q: 2. Shock mount

A: It comes with a basic shock mount; works okay on a boompole but might want to upgrade it for critical studio use.

Q: 3. mke 600 work with pc if we use xlr to 3.5 without use any audio interface thanks

A: The MKE-600 can be used without an interface when using the mic with battery power and the proper cable adapter. Sennheiser offers properly wired adapter cables. These are recommended for connection to 3.5mm TRS or TRRS inputs.

Q: 4. What kind of screw size does it need to attach to a hot shoe adaptor or to mount on a boom pole?

A: To mount the MKE 600 on a boom pole you would need a 3/8" thread shock mount.

Q: 5. Can I plug this into the Sony Fx9 without a battery and have it run off of the camera battery/phantom power? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone can be connected to an XLR input on the Sony PXW-FX9 Full-Frame Camera and activated using phantom power.

Q: 6. What are the best audio settings to have on my camera and on the mic itself if I'm using the make 600 with a Canon t5i?

A: Set the camera's audio gain as low as possible.

Q: 7. does anyone use a blimp here? What brand do you recommend? if not, which dead cat/wind screen do you use?

A: I don't use a blimp on the MKE 600, but I due use a Rycote Softie (B&H # RYS15M) that fits perfectly and works okay. I wouldn't rely on the Rycote Softie on a day with wind gusts, but an average windy day is just fine. I use a blimp for our 416 and the difference is definitely demonstrable. In a situation where a blimp is needed, we'd use the MKH 416 anyway.

Q: 8. Will the included XLR to 3.5mm TRS adapter cable allow me to connect this microphone to the Tentacle Sync-E audio recorder?

A: No. The included Sennheiser KA 600 XLR Female to 1/8" TRS Male Connection Cable will not connect directly to the locking input on the Tentacle Sync TRACK E Pocket Audio Recorder because the cable has a non-locking 1/8" (3.5mm) connector. As a better option, you can use the Remote Audio 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm TRS Locking Adapter Cable for Sennheiser G2 Transmitter - 2' (B&H # RECASEK100L) which will connect properly to the recorder's locking input. Or if you do want to use the KA 600 Cable, you can adapt it by adding on the Hosa Technology GMM303 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini to 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini Adapter (B&H # HOASMFSMF) and attaching the Sennheiser CL1 3.5mm to 3.5mm Output Cable for EW Series Camera-Mount Receiver (B&H # SECL1), which has the proper size locking connector.

Q: 9. Will this Microphone work mounted 5' above presenters working on a platform? The idea would be to have two pointed in a 8' area in a quite room.

A: Yes, the MKE 600 will pickup clear audio from a 5' distance.

Q: 10. Does this mic and an XLR to 3.5mm stereo plug record in stereo on the camera, or do you need to convert to dual mono in post production?

A: If you use the recommended Sennheiser cable KA600 the microphone signal will be recorded on both channels of the camcorder.
