The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is black and comes with a 2mm diameter Duramax cable. It terminates to a Screw-on 4-pin Mini connector for use with Sabine wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a way to monitor each individual channel through to headphone to check for distortion, etc?

A: You can monitor each track as it s being recorded.

Q: 2. How does the NTG3 work as a handheld interview mic out on the field?

A: The short answer here is, not typically. I say this because the NTG3 is a very directional, supercardioid microphone. What this means is, it is designed more for isolating at various distances and not so much for direct, close audio. If you do use this microphone in tight you can also hear variations in the volume and sound. Handling noise would also be an issue.

Q: 3. Is the 3.5 input stereo or mono? If it's stereo, will it record both signals on separate tracks?

A: The 3.5mm TRS input on the Zoom H6 Portable Handy Recorder is a stereo connector that will record mic or line level audio, separated on the left and right channels.

Q: 4. Is one able to receive a L+R from FOH and then still use the attached shotgun mic. Enabling the user to have a direct mix and then still have some room noise to mix in and out?

A: Yes. There are six channels, with two coming from the end-mount element. There are four XLR inputs, with dedicated channels and level controls. Any combination can be recording.

Q: 5. Does the Zoom H6 Recorder Podcast Kit with 1 enCORE Microphone come with both products in their individual boxes? Anyone know the quality of the XLR cable included? Thank you.

A: Everything will come in its original packaging from the manufacturer. The quality of the XLR cable is the second best in the product line and will work great for most aplications.

Q: 6. If I order the basic kit here, does it come with some sort of case for carrying the actual mic (and maybe even some of the accessories) in? Or would I need to explore elsewhere for properly storing it when traveling to different locations for shoots?

A: The basic kit includes the Auray Neoprene Boompole Bag for 34" Closed Boompole with Shotgun Mic and Softie (B&H # AUBPB34), which is designed to hold the boompole with the shotgun microphone, softie, and shock mount. The bag has an interior pocket for accessories and an adjustable shoulder strap.

Q: 7. Which brand / model of shockmount is included?

A: Auray - DUSM-1 Universal Shock Mount for Camera Shoes and Boompoles: B&H # AUDUSM1.http://bhpho.to/1DuuRGq

Q: 8. Would this work for a canon c200? I know it needs phantom power and I am unsure if the c200 has phantom power.

A: Yes, the Rode NTG3B can be used with a Canon C200. The camera is capable of supplying +48V phantom power for the microphone.

Q: 9. can this record car sounds when placed near the exhoust for example? or does it kill the mic

A: The RODE NTG3 Shotgun Microphone could be used to pickup sounds from the car, but I would not recommend leaving it too close to the exhaust as dirt and heat from the exhaust could permanently damage the mic.

Q: 10. Is there a big sound quality difference between the NTG2 vs. the NTG3?

A: There are certainly marked differences that warrant the wide price differences. The NTG3 is designed for the broadcast or film professional and is well suited for outdoor use. That said, the NTG2 is an excellent entry level shotgun and serves well for wedding and event videography as well. ------------- NOTE:-----------------The microphone features radio-frequency (RF) interference properties that avoid annoying noise and interference caused by nearby RF sources such as radio antennas, WiFi networks, internet devices, power lines, etc. The microphone is also built to withstand the rigors of adverse weather conditions.Of course special attention is paid to the accurate, directional pickup characteristics and its frequency response, sensitivity and low noise floor, which result in pristine audio quality. The NTG3 shotgun microphone is an ideal solution for outdoor ENG and studio applications.

I brought this cartridge because the other one dried up. I was not happy about that but, it is a second printer and I don't often use it.

I've only had this item a couple of weeks! Three weeks to a month should at least be the standard to ask for a review.
