The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is black and comes with a 2mm diameter Duramax cable. It terminates to a Screw-on 4-pin Mini connector for use with Sabine wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. When I used it in my room ( it has very low echo ) but after recording I didn't get clear sound , is using the microphone windscreen will make it better ?

A: If your audio has a lot of rumbling and low frequency noise, or a lot of plosive noise coming from the mouth, a windscreen can help. If you are having other problems in the recording, there may be other issues with your setup causing that, and a windscreen will not help. Please contact us at audio@bhphoto.com , call in by phone, or chat with us, so we can help you get the most out of your Rode NTG3 microphone.

Q: 2. how can I fit this on my sonya7iii

A: You would need a shockmount to hold the mic, that has a cold shoe on it. Here's an example: AUDUSM1. Please note, this mic requires phantom power to run. You will need an external mixer/ recorder with XLR inputs and phantom power to use the mic. Here's an example: B&H # TADR60DMKII.

Q: 3. How to power with rhode go

A: The NTG3 requires 48 volt phantom power to operate. Since the Rode Wireless Go transmitter does not provide the required power, you will need to place a battery powered phantom power supply inbetween the mic and transmitter. Here is an option from PSC: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/577469-REG/PSC_FPSC0001_48_PHantom_Single.html/overview.

Q: 4. Is the black rubberized body prone to degrading and getting sticky, as happens with the grey H6, the H4N, etc.?

A: No, the body is no longer rubberized. The material also was changed on the H4n Pro and H6 several months before they were discontinued.

Q: 5. Does the zoom h6 have zero latency monitoring through the headphone jack?

A: The Zoom H6 does offer latency free monitoring in both standalone and USB interface modes.

Q: 6. Can the NTG3 be used with Xvive U3C wireless plug on system?

A: Yes, you can use the Xvive Audio U3C with the RODE NTG3 Moisture-Resistant Shotgun Microphone (Satin Nickel) because the U3C provides phantom power for condenser mics like the NTG3.

Q: 7. Van I use this recorder with my Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun mic?

A: The Zoom H6 All Black 6-Input / 6-Track Portable Handy Recorder with Single Mic Capsule (Black), BH # ZOH6B, may be used with the Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun microphone.

Q: 8. What kind of XLR adapter/ cables do I need to connect this into my camera via a Zoom H5 recorder AND will this set up work just as well as the Sony XLR-K3M adapter? Any downsides?

A: standard, 3 pin XLR Mic cables will work with either the Zoom H5 or the Sony Sony XLR-K3M

Q: 9. Would this work for a canon c200? I know it needs phantom power and I am unsure if the c200 has phantom power.

A: Yes, the Rode NTG3B can be used with a Canon C200. The camera is capable of supplying +48V phantom power for the microphone.

Q: 10. If I get the boom pole that comes with the basic kit here, what is the recommended boom stand I should get to use with it?

A: You can use a basic model like the Auray Boom Pole Holder (B&H # AUBPH) or the BoomMate BPH Microphone Boom Pole Holder (B&H # BOBPH) together with a grip head such as the Impact 2.5" Diameter (B&H # IMKCP200).
