A: UV/IR blocking filters work ideally for lenses with an aperture angle up to 60. The principle of such an interference filter is an aperture angle-dependent color influence that is dictated by physical principles, and as the angle of the incident light increases it drifts towards blue, i.e. for wide-angle lenses, from an aperture angle larger than 60, the color reproduction at the edge of the image tends to lean towards bluish.

A: LED white lights typically remove unused spectrums to save on power so the difference under artificial light should be minimal. The largest gains will be under sunlight and UV/IR specific lighting.
