A: Its an integrated hood to protect that large glass and shield it from light. Its actually engineered very carefully to allow the widest possible field of view while still avoiding lens flair which wide angles are notorious for.

A: The thumbwheels on the Kaiser FilmCopy Vario are used to push and pull vertical cropping bars.

A: No IS. I use it with the G85 which has IBIS. Overall I am pleased with the stabilization. If you have the means, I would opt for the OLY mainly for the F2.8 otherwise I am satisfied with the lens. Either option is great!

A: The minimum height is 6.8 inches from the table top to the top of the ball head.
